PWalk (335), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 10, 2005 Very fruity aroma with brett. Flavor is much the same with a definitive tartness to it. Very tasty and enjoyable.
eaglefan538 (2141), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 6, 2006 Wow, looks like I copied E’s scores. In any event, I was impressed with this one from the pour on. Nice thin head on top of the cloudy yellow appearance. Lacing was excellent. The aroma was hard to pick up beyond barny-like and sweet. Flavor wasn’t too complex (which was the only knock on it), although for a fruity lambic, it had more going on in it than fruit (the peach may not have been detected if I didn’t know it was in there). Tartness of a good flemish sour with somewhat of a lightly sweet balance in there. Oak and tarty fruits (apples, some cherries) in the flavor. A nice showing. biznizness (742), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Feb 13, 2006 I’ve had this several times and found it to be way too tart and sweet.... so much so that it was difficult to drink. Mouthfeel was thin. BBW offers tons of great beers so I didn’t hesitate to move onto to something else. In contrast, their framboise is has a more balanced flavor. tiggmtl (4200), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 16, 2005 Aroma seems at times to be all farm and funk and at others to be all sweet honey and peaches. Opaque yellow-tan coloured body is topped with a low, off white head that recedes to ring. Peachy, juice-like flavour has a pleasant, creeping acidity but lacks the funkiness of a true lambic and comes across as being a bit too constantly sweet. Medium body feels not fully attenuated. Fair carbonation. Sampled at Kennett Square Brewfest 2005. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Dec 15, 2005 Brewtopia ’05 Cloudy deep golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of peaches, must, wood and funk. Flavor is tart, peach, woodyy and slightyl acidic. A very nice pseudo-lambic. jeffin7 (609), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Dec 7, 2005 Aroma is peach, wood, and a bit of funk. Flavor is tart fruit up front, funk in the middle, and oak in the finish. Dry finish with a nice mellow aftertaste of all the flavors blended.
