COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our unique blend of roasted barley, chocolate, and black patent malts produces a nice medium bodied stout. Accented with notes of Fuggle and East Kent Golding hops.

Almost black in color...great head on it...a good moreso ’sipping’ beer, only served on tap, I wish they’d bottle this stuff and sell it, but it’s a very impressive stout...

Had this again during Musikfest 2001, right after finishing a Guinness. This is very similar to Guinness, actually a bit more complex and somewhat nuttier flavor.

On tap at BBW, an almost black glass with a persistant, thin tan head. Chocolates and some coffee are strong in the nose, and lead into a heavy chocolate flavor. Malts and coffee are minor taste elements, and they are blended smoothly into the sweetness of the oatmeal, which I could definitely taste. A rich velvety mouthfeel gave way to just a tad of bitterness when the glass got a little warm, but this is easily the best brew at BBW, and I may be biased as a local, but this beats alot of the stouts I’ve had to this point.

This is a very rich tasting stout. Very flavorful and even better than Guinness.

Loved this stout, black in color with a nice full & rich brown head, excellent roasted flavors, nicely balanced with a medium body, almost like a Murphy's or even a Guinness in its body, this was so drinkable, hints of chocolate, a bit of a dry finish, overall a great stout

Black, with dense tan head. Full-bodied. Roasty and sweet with a slight bitterness. Lots of coffee and chocolate.

Great tasting stout. I’ve had this a few times and once it seemed a little flat. This was an exception though. If you ever get to Bethlehem, PA, you won’t be disappointed with the Brew Works. They usually have a few Belgians on tap and they seem to get better every year.

This was an outstanding oatmeal stout. I felt it was a winning version and had a nice flow with that excellent chocolate flavor.

Draft - Black, creamy dark tan head. Deep roasted sweet coffee aromas warm to notes of milk chocolate and hints of blackberry. Dark chocolate roasty tones mingle with soft caramel oat and coffee-like flavors. A touch of back end bitterness pulls this together very well. Medium bodied, soft smooth carbonation, lightly bittersweet finish. A great session stout...

It pours into the glass a thick dark chocolate color. Heavy. The head is a dense creamy tan/beige color. The lace seems to stick to the glass. The aroma is of coffee, chocolate, raisins and light hints of alcohol. Slightly sweet to the nose also. The taste is thick, has hints of a sweet chocolate coffee, malt, and light fruit. The taste is kind of dry at the end. It is a good Irish stout, a pleasure to drink. The kind of beer you could drink more of.
