COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
aka Weihnachtstadt Rauchbock. A cheeky response to the Brew Works kitchen fire in December 2008. This smoked german style lager has deep copper color and smooth malt flavor. Smoked taste comes from the kilning of grain over a wood fire imparts an almost bbq like flavor.

Clear copper color with no head. Minimal aroma of smoke and grain. Sweet flavor with a smoked ending. Decent offering

On tap, Smoke ’em if ya Gots ’em Fest 2010. Listed simply as ’Rauchbock’. Pours a clear dark reddish copper body with a small fizzy off-white head. The smoke on the nose is a little light, but the camprire and smoked meat qualities are there. Some slightly sweet munich malt notes as well. The smoke is pretty minimal on the flavor, on the sweeter side, with more munich malt flavor than rauch malt. Medium bodied with light fizzy carbonation. Some light sweet clinginess on the finish. Decent, but not one that stood out at the fest. Needs more smoke.

Tap @ the pub. Poured a clear orange-amber color with an almost white head. The aroma is of sweet malt and light hops. The smoke was very light. Light smoke in the flavor with a sweet malt base. Light bodied.

On tap at the Bethlehem location. Pours a deeper copper with golden notes and a medium creamy off white head that left lacing. Aroma of like smoked wood, some cereal grains, dough and a touch of citrus. Flavor of smoked malt, bbq, cereal grains and a touch of some citrus. Smoke was well done, not overdone, but obviously there. A smooth beer.
