wilderthanyou (411), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Nov 20, 2007 Looks like coca-cola, bang on. Smells like the inside of a hollow log, peet, with some sweet chocolate notes. Flavours get a little deeper as the beer warms slightly, but still relatively thin, lightly malty sweet, a touch of hops, with a decent dry finish. A good effort, but the lack of depth and watery mouthfeel hold this beer back considerably. JAF737300 (791), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 30, 2007 The beer pours with light amber color. The notes of malt show through with the hops coming to bear on the palate and on the finsh. It shows nice balance at the end. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Sep 2, 2007 aroma is bready, and slightly cardboard. Flavoru is sweet malt, and faint hops. I think it’s past it’s prime, but still drinkable. a decent beer. georgekessel (68), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 25, 2007 I found this to be very tasty without a hoppy head. The barley flavor gives a smooth wet finish. This beer lacks a nice aroma but it’s got a true barley taste and saveur. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 31, 2007 Updated: Oct 29, 2007[468-20070728] Sample @ LCBO-Summerhill. Creamed corn and wheat aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting off-white head. Light fruit flavour is mainly toasted wheat. Interesting. (4/4/5/3/11) 2.7
[620C-20070916] Sample @ Feast of Fields (Hillsburgh, ON). Musty dark grain aroma is lightly toasted. Clear, amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Toasted yeast flavour is fairly grainy with a bit of leafy earth. Medium body. Not bad. (7/3/6/3/12) 3.1 ChrisThomson (382), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 11, 2007 Nothing to get excited about here, but drinkable. Has a nice hoppy aroma, but little real hop bite in the taste. tomthompson89 (1460), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 9, 2007 decent easy drinking, dark gold color, decnt head, nose of sweet malt and honey. Tastes little hops and sweet malts, medium body decent beer KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 19, 2007 Updated: May 5, 2007bottle: Two words come to mind: flat & harsh. As people have pointed out, this is not a Blonde Ale at all, it pours reddish & tastes like a red ale with no legs. Very disappointing. Bitter in a bad way, the finish is sour. When I poured this, it sounded like a Pepsi - what’s up wth all the carbonation? I can think of many other micro craft brews I’d rather be drinking right now. MIll Street Stock Ale is way tastier than this & actually is blonde. It kind of grew on me after a while, but in a dark/malty/orange/sour kind of way.
