Pours a hazy dark amber with very little head. Notes of cinnamon and spices on the nose, a tad oily on the palate, but finishes nicely.

Bottle given to me by John Romano. Pours a apple cider like colour with a very small thin head that is just off white, with little lacing spots. Smells so very sour, a little sweet and barnyard. Tastes a little sweet and bitter, however it doesn’t bring on the sour like I would’ve expected, it comes out a little on the finish but isn’t super prevalent. There’s some fruit in there as well like cherries.

Pretty interesting taste. Soft on tongue, great level of carbonation. A touch of sweetness but no overdose or anything

Burnt cherry pie aroma, clear amber. Gentle rich maple syrup and oak, sustained sweetness, never cloying.

341 ml bottle from the brewery. I think 2008/2009 aged since then. Interesting, deep amber in colour, smallish off white head, no lacing. Aroma is funky, spicy, taste is similar, a little bit of woodiness. Maybe a little funky from aging. Alcohol is subtle, rounded and soft. Interesting beer!

On tap at the Kick Off. 2011 version? The description on this one matches what I had. Hazy amber pour, brownish and with a beige head. Aroma is mediocre, some caramalt, some apple cinnamon, some oak. Meh. Flavour is better, sweet and sour apple mixed with spices, with an oaky finish which is actually not too bad, I usually hate oak in any beer but it’s subtle enough here. Feel is slightly thick, somewhat dry, with a touch of booze. Went down pretty well, but I wouldn’t bother with it again.

Deep amber pour. The aroma is quite spicy and a little bit wintery. Some light fruitiness as well. Stewed plums and dates. A bit of orange peel as well. Cinnamon and nutmeg. Good stuff if a bit heavy handed with the spice.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color with a small foamy head with low retention and no lacing. Aroma of spices and herb is more dominant then expected. Taste is very strong on spices and herb with one spices, which I can identified, really coming through – maybe a tad too much. Body is bit thin for style with medium to low carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not bad but spices are somewhat of an overkill.

Bottle thanks to matt7215... Thanks Matt! Pours a muddy burnt orange colour with a very small head that diminished quickly. On the nose there is a bit of malty sweetness, spice, yeast and a hint of oak. The taste brings plums, clove, apple, coconut, bready yeast, and brown sugar. Heavy mouth feel. Not the in your face oak that I’m used to, but pleasant. Thanks Matt!
