In the bottle at Smokeless Joe’s in Toronto. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Has an intense Lik-em Stick green apple candy aroma. The candy sweetness to the flavor is astounding. This has a HUGE apple flavor. It reminds me of the apfelbier that I had in Frankfurt on the Römerplatz. If this beer were an amplifier, I’d say it goes to eleven. I’ve never had an apple=flavored beer that I liked as much.

Bottle from Len (mrmanning) Thanks! Damn, haha this one is interesting. Everyone previous seems to not enjoy this beer too much. Pours out a yellow color with a white head. Smell is apples. Smells identical to an apple Jolly Rancher (my favorite). Taste is similar, with a nice sweet apple flavor to it. This is one hell of a unique beer, so I will give it points on that, and points on the smell because the apple smell is so fantastic that it filled up my entire room. Take this for what it is: a fruit beer, with a strong apple taste - you cannot compare this to an imperial stout of any kind. Very tasty.

Pale golden and sparkling with a semi-holding white head which leaves some watery lace. Regarding its aroma, a big Jolly Rancher apple sourness dominates all... but I like Jolly Ranchers, so that’s O.K. Sweet yet tart apples nearly cover a base of wheat and lagered yeastiness in the flavor, but I eventually find this playing out as a nice balance between fruit and beer. MIld acidity doesn’t bother me afterwards.

Bottle, thank you Doug Shoemaker. Tasted on an incredibly hot day after a stressful funeral in a baking hot barn on my parent’s farm. Medium yellow, small white head. Very nice aroma - tons of green apples! As advertised, very nice! Sweet! Tons of subtle green apples in taste - more apple skin I suppose. Light pils body. No hops at all. Very sweet - if this wasn’t as ice cold and I wasn’t so damn hot, I might have rated different. But as is, it was very refreshing - good job on the unique beer Best Bitters.
