Rcr84 (33), Canada Aug 4, 2007 Very strong green apple aroma. Had to give it a good rating not as a great beer aroma but it just smells so good. Light colour and the flavour is the same as the aroma. Not really a beer but very tasty and refreshing.
Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2008 Was sufficiently warned about this one...Draught @ Winking Judge. Clear light golden, medium white head, leaves some lacing. Apple candy aroma, Jolly Rancher all the way but correspondingly fun, exciting, refreshing, and surprisingly clean. Fairly high carbonation. Finishes drier than expected even if it’s sweet-tart with a decent grain background. A bit sticky on the tongue and has slight bitterness at the end. Overall I was amused. Oakes (6983), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 30, 2008 Golden with a slight haze. Very candyish green apple nose. Sweet, candyish apple taste in a straw-accented pale lager. Sort of a corn pone note to the malts and Jolly Rancher to the fruits. You tell me how that’s supposed to work well together. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 15, 2008 In the bottle at Smokeless Joe’s in Toronto. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Has an intense Lik-em Stick green apple candy aroma. The candy sweetness to the flavor is astounding. This has a HUGE apple flavor. It reminds me of the apfelbier that I had in Frankfurt on the Römerplatz. If this beer were an amplifier, I’d say it goes to eleven. I’ve never had an apple=flavored beer that I liked as much. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA May 5, 2008 Bottle at Volo in Toronto. MASSIVE appley aroma with a nice sweet apple flavor to follow. A pretty sweet beer overall. It’s only weakness is that it’s a little thin in body. Should have perhaps used a good wheat base instead. wilderthanyou (323), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jan 27, 2008 Pours a golden pilsner with a quickley diminishing white head. The aroma is fresh cider. The flavour is too overpowered by the apple juice for any of the beer to speak up. That being said, its still not bad, just hard to think of it as beer. I think I might cook a ham in this in a slow cooker.
