Rcr84 (33), Canada Jul 31, 2007 Amberish Golden colour. Bready malt taste up front and just about the perfect amount of hop finish. Very enjoyable beer, will be drinking it again. Earlier Rating: 7/11/2007 Total Score: 4.3 Definatly agree that this one beats Creemore. Nice amberish colour with a beautiful finish and well balanced hops. Best lager I’ve had in a while, I can see why it won gold in the Ontario Brewing Awards. Hats of to the brewer on this one.
GregClow (2351), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 14, 2007 Draught sample at C’est What’s 2007 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Golden-amber colour. Aroma of husky malt and herbal hops. Crisp body. Fairly standard "premium lager" flavour, with a good balance. Pleasant and well-made, if not very memorable. Earlier Rating: 5/25/2006 Total Score: 3.5 Bottle from the brewery. Pours a beautiful amber-orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild but very nice - malty, with some fresh grassy hops. Good body for the style. Sweet, biscuity malt off the top of the flavour, developing into an earthy bitterness with some mild citric notes. As pootzboy notes, this bears more than a passing resemblance to Creemore in its prime. Very nice - a welcome addition to Ontario’s beer scene. mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2007 Updated: Oct 8, 2007Draught. A dark clear orange golden body with a soft medium sized white head.
Herbal, crisp grassiness with just a touch of butter that refrains from distraction leading into some graininess. Medium body with adequate hop crispness is quite refreshing and well executed.
Collins Brewhouse, Dundas Ontario. 2007.07.28 mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 16, 2007 [504-20070810] Tap @ TFOB (Toronto, ON). Light sweaty hay aroma with some wheaty yeast bread notes. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting bubbly off-white head. More light wheaty yeast in the flavour. Medium body. Not memorable but could repeat. jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 11, 2007 TFOB 2007. Draft. Orangey amber body with a small white head. Mild aroma of muted grains and light hard to define hops. Flavour has an interesting bitterness, very mild malt. Touch of something odd about it that I cannot put my finger on. Average palate. Not awful but does not make me want more of it either.
