Sammy (2969), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 30, 2008 Transparent-like colour, looks like the Belgian cuvee’s I have tried in the past. Neutral aroma. Some lace. Taste is OK, I could take the half pint (at Volo)but that is it. there is some tropical fruit in there. Medium mouthfeel. A good effort.
gilvanblight (322), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Spices gingery scent, hazy redish pour. Very spicy taste. An overpowering mix of flavours. Very odd beer. Sledge Jr (2693), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 24, 2008 On tap at C’est What? Very reddish amber with a thin white head. Has a sweet and fruity aroma. The interesting fruitiness that just does not quit. A medicinal tang whips into the fold. The palate is not chewey, but not watery either. This has a serious sweetness that frames some cardamom. HogTownHarry (3141), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada May 27, 2008 Draught. At C’est What. Hazy amber, average draught head. The aroma’s really sweet, vaguely like a quad (spice and yeast), a little grassy. The taste really is a let-down - pretty much boozy bubblegum. Avearge body, slick, lively, a bit boozy - and quite disappointing - could have been good. Radek Kliber (3278), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 26, 2008 On tap at C’est What?
Appearance: Fine haze , amber with light haze of woody brown. Medium creamy top. Nose : Fresh , aromatic , fruity with neat hop feel. Good malty backing.7+ Flavor/Palate : Slight sourness , medium good depth with fresh light bittering. Nice set up with good complexity. Swing of malt, fruit, gentle hopping with something extra.
GregClow (2299), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2008 Draught at C’est What. Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is very sweet (caramel, brown sugar) and spicy/herbal with some hints of fruit. Medium bodied. Flavour follows the aroma pretty closely, with a faint woodiness from the oak aging. It’s nice, but definitely best enjoyed in small doses due to the sweetness.
