COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When creating the recipe for this beer, we bore in mind what one associates with oatmeal. Hence the base was laden with a bunch of oat flakes, roasted malts and roasted barley. The end result reflects this - intensive flavours, a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and a creamy texture. So we would not smother this, we added only as much hops as was needed to delicately balance the flavour.

Pours jet black with a huge, consistent mocha head which recedes to a layer around the glass. Aroma is roast coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is similar to aroma - roast malts, dark chocolate, slight liquorice and a touch of saltiness and a hint of leather. Full bodied - surprised at this ABV! Drinks a lot stronger than it is.

(Bevog Baja Oatmeal Stout) Bottle 330 ml thanks to Sebilinz! Served into a snifter, ABV 5.8% Almost totally black colour on the body, one full finger of brown head, thick and with very good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma of oats, plenty of coffee, hops, some milky chocolate. Taste has also oats and coffee, a bit sweet though, less chocolate but still there, hints of hops, finishes with roasted malts. Medium thick body, good carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. Nice beer, smooth.

Trots de lovande orden var jag lite skeptisk. Chocklad toner, lite unken? Väldigt lätt i smaken, på gränsen till vattnig i kroppen. Smakn försvinner snabbt och övergår till citrus.
