COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When creating the recipe for this beer, we bore in mind what one associates with oatmeal. Hence the base was laden with a bunch of oat flakes, roasted malts and roasted barley. The end result reflects this - intensive flavours, a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and a creamy texture. So we would not smother this, we added only as much hops as was needed to delicately balance the flavour.

Bottle from Borut, thanks! Lots of moccha though more on the chocolate than the coffee side, a vanilla tobacco note and some cherries. Good aroma and flavour depth, slightly chewy body and soft mouthfeel. Light bitter, light sweet. Full of flavour yet laid back. Great stuff.

Bottle in Ljubljana. Pours dark brown with a slowly dissipating light brown head. The aroma is a definite coffee grind impression, roasted to burnt malt, bakers cocoa, earthy hop notes. Some sweetness from the oats in the flavour but predominately bitter, dry, roasted malt. Nice smooth mouthfeel. I had beer geek breakfast earlier tonight, this poor bastard had a hard act to follow.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14, from ABM. Dark mahogany brown with moderate tan edgework and a swirl atop. Nose is roast malt, earthy coffee grinds, dark toffee fudge, cocoa rub. Taste comprises earthy roast, dark toffee, light spice, chocolate notes, dark malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout.

Bottle from deeside drinks emporium. Pours a black with a thick tan head which fades down. Aromas of bitter burnt coffee, a little chocolate and tar. A bitter coffe taste which creams out by the end. Maybe a hint of dried fruit. Quite nice.

Aroma: toasted and roasted malts, light coffee. Appearance: dark brown / black, massive frothy beige head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: light bitters continue, intensify, toasted notes again, light filter coffee, average-long duration, soft carbonation. Overall: nice Stout, was expecting a bit more though when reading other reviews. Bottle from Independent Spirit, Bath.
