COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When creating the recipe for this beer, we bore in mind what one associates with oatmeal. Hence the base was laden with a bunch of oat flakes, roasted malts and roasted barley. The end result reflects this - intensive flavours, a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and a creamy texture. So we would not smother this, we added only as much hops as was needed to delicately balance the flavour.

Black colour with big beige head and nice lacing. Moderate aroma of dark coffee and some roastiness. Taste is quite rich, slightly sweet on the beginning and medium dry and bitter on the finish. Smooth palate. Medium body. Really taste stout!

33cl bottle bb0./2016@impuritylaw’s hosted Cellarclearing 2, I/2016, merci. - Oatmeal roast, bread porridge, bitter chocolate and than enter the main player upon the stage: sesame oil - hard to evade or escape once it has crept up upon your nostrils... Again more sesame paste and soy, Asian cuisine style in flavour than retreating chocolate...Fruity aspects emerge upon warming, opening up towards complexity a tad too late for me to start loving it. Nice mouthfeel.

kindly shared by impuritylaw, thanks a lot. A really complex nose of coffee, roast, morphing into sesame oil, light soy sauce, molasse cake, dark honey, Walliser Birnenbrot, with a thin layer of tropical fruits hovering above it all. Smooth in taste, it’s quite one-dimensional with buttery flavors and alcohol heat disturbing the beauty of it all. Nice bitter, roasty aftertaste, though.

Bottle. Pours deep black and oily with a creamy tan head. Intense roasted aroma with strong notes of dark chocolate and some coffee, hints of plum and slightly burnt grain. Nice bitter dry taste that grows into a pleasent finish. Flavor is not as intense, however still a lot of dark chocolate and coffee notes and nicely combined with the dryness. Medium to thick bodied with a light oily texture and a smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is medium. Leaves a nice light roasted aftertaste that is not bitter at all. Quite nice beer.

Bottle at home (best before 18 03 2016). Pours dark with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and a sour undertone, light infection? Taste is bitter sweet, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, light metallic, light sour... Dry finish, bit thin, but a nice long chocolate aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. As the deScription says, some coffee and dark chocolate. Pretty light for the intense aroma. A bit peaty. Not quite as sweet as I would like my oatmeal stout, but still decent.
