Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - amber. There’s a head initially but then it just gets tae. Nose - shandy, basically a malt drink with lemonade added. Taste - dry biscuits then lemon. Light caramel. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - it didn’t start well but it recovered somewhat.

Bottle picked up at Saucy Pears, Worcester, Saturday 11th April 2015 consumed the same day at mum’s, Worcester. Pours mid gold with a slim white head atop. Dusty hops and a rather lacklustre beer in the mouth, dusty hops and a slightly tired dare I say boring flavour, the hops seem to have been used sparingly. Struggles to hit the giddy heights of merely being ok. A5 A3 T5 P3 Ov10 2.6

Bottle.Orange and flat. Low carbonation and left no lacing. Not a lot of body considering its strength. Pretty average and a bit disappointing.

Gravity dispense from the Little Ale House, Bromsgrove. Amber with a fading bit of cream froth. Some caramel with slightly nondescript hop bitterness. Nice enough, but unremarkable.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is sweet, with straw and grass. Taste is pretty much the same, straw and grass with a touch of sulphur on the finish. A little rubber.

Cask at The Old Black Bull, Preston. Pours amber with a thin white head. Aromas are muted malts and spicy hops, cake mix and caramel towards the end. Taste is on the sweeter side. Medium body, creamy texture. Slipped down fine, but not particularly memorable.

Cask-conditioned at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol March 2013. Golden with a slick of a white head. Citrus fruit, slightly sweet and jammy, some solid biscuity malts and a dryish finish. Good.

DruncanVeasey (7424) - NUNEATON, CONF N, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle from Connolly’s, Olton. Bright gold with a skim of white foam. Muted aroma with suggestions of pine, jazz cigarette, butter, overripe satsuma. Soft-conditioned, slightly dank with Sorachi-like orange and fennel flavours; biscuit, shampoo, pine, lightly buttered malt sweetness. Bitter to finish without being hoppy. Unexciting and a bit dead but drinkable.

Bottle from Connollys Wines, Solihull. Poured a clear amber colour with a foamy white head. The aroma is malty with spicy notes. The flavour is peppery spicy hoppy with some dryness on the palate. This was not at all what I was expecting at all. This is my first beer from Bewdley and it won't be the last.
