Roasted malt, chocolate and a hint of coffee. Very smooth with a pleasant bitter finish. Nice stout.

Clear dark black brown color with a small, frothy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate sweet, coffee bitter, roasted, pepper notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130119]

Gravicask (CWAF2013, Fri)
Dark brown. Decent rich roast in the aroma. Caramelly taste initially - and you get the impression it’s a bit strong. Nice roasty finish , though it has a few agressive spikes. Alas, I wouldn’t session this.
