Bottle at Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda: Dark brown coloured brew with an smooth taste of spices.

Draught, 8% at the brewpub. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. The flavour is nicely roasted, mild roasted malt, but quite flavourful. A good sour note balances the malt. OK mouthfeel and pleasantly mild carbonation.

Quickly disappearing head, dark red coloring. Malt aroma. Taste of malt with light bitter. some distinct mouth

Draught: Best beer so far from this cafe brewery. Very dark, traditional winter beer, firm body, liquorice, slightly smokey, very satisfactory. Very clear, I suspect filtered but you can’t have everything. The brewer here really knows his business.
