Growler sample via BreWedge. Pale amber in colour with a bit of haze and moderate carbonation. Aromas are of Centennial hops (candied orange peel, spice and flowers), along with caramel and wet tree bark. Flavors are a blend of pulpy orange, pale malt, dark caramel, lemon, and pine sap. Firm bitterness on the back end with some leafiness and a bit of chalk. A solid IPA, but a bit heavy on the malts for my taste.

Growler. Pours dark amber with a thick, patchy head of off white foam that lasts and laces. Big, fresh, hoppy nose, loads of dank herbs, resinous pine, grapefruit, and a hint of tropical, hung on a nice bready backbone with a hint of caramel. Balanced just barely sweet on the front end and bracingly bitter throughout. Sticky, waxy and certainly clinging to the palate. Moderate to full bodied with just above average carbonation. Great drinkability and judiciously hopped, wish this were closer to home more often!

On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Hazy amber body with an average off-white creamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with malty and citrusy hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its sharp hoppy taste carries citrusy, woody, and herbal notes. Ends with a long, robust bitter finish. Well done.

Growler from the brewery. Dark, clear copper pour, with a big off white head. Huge aroma of candied citrus, and resinous, sticky pine. Some nice caramel malts linger in the background, and add a nice balance. The finish is all piney, citrusy hops. Well balance incredibly flavourful ipa!

[5558-20130629] Growler. Grainy citrus peel aroma. Hazy, brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter grainy citrus orange peel flavour. Medium body is very bitter. Delicious and bitter. (7/4/9/4/16) 4.0

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfest. Hop on your face on cask at the Ottawa beer fest. It is a cloudy orange-brown with a fantastic aroma of hops: resin, pine needles, fruits with the great full mouthfeel and silky body of cask. The taste is balanced hops, a complex array of hop flavors with enough malts to support them and let them shine.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 Growler. Pours amber/copper with no head. Aroma is of malt, meat, sugar. Taste is of malt, pine, bitterness, alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Overall: Not really interesting. Hops are just not there. No finesse. Growler had some issues, will gladly re-rate in the future.

Pours a hazy orange with no real head except if these big bubbles count. These "stubby" growlers don’t hold pressure too well, it seems. Aroma is grassy and soapy. Taste is soapy caramel and not too bitter. Some pine needles appear to save the day! Medium body with a low level of carbonation (probably due to the growler). It wasn’t exactly great but it wasn’t a complete disaster.

"extra" @ cascade + upright tasting sessions - ’coz we’re porks. growler. hazy coppre-redddish pour without a head. soapy, citrus, pine and strawberries, earth/dirt, toasted and caramel malts, quite grainy too, slightly buttery too, fruity, some phenols. low carbonation, probably lost bubbles in this low-fill growler, light body - oily, harsh medium long grapefruity finish. unbalanced. DP.
