Draught @ Cruise Roma - Barcelona, Un Mare di Birra, Grimaldi Lines.

Murky muddy medium amber colour with a small, fizzy and open, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, toffee, laberlarver (licorice candy). Initial flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, chlorine, caramel, acetic - vinegar, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, apple, caramel with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO this was not normal BFM standard .. [20110613]

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 26, 2012
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of kristina. Pours a cloudy and almost opaque dark amber with a tiny off-white head. Sweet rum aroma with a tart edge to it. Rich body, lowish carbonation, heavy caramel and overripe fruit with quite a tartness. Rummy notes, wood and a chemical edge to it. A little acetone. The alcohol doesn’t really show. A weird creation, but I kinda dig it. 260412

Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy orange/brown, no head. Tart woody nose. Full bodied with some malt sweetness and soft mouthfeel. Concentrated citricity, some cranberry and caramel, plenty of rhum. Typical BFM beer, intense, complex, acidic and lovely!

2012-05-02, bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, brewed in 2011, 7-3-8-4-16=38
Cloudy amber color, with small to no head, pouring viscous. Aroma of malt, vinegar, balsamic vinegar, oak with some vanilla. The body is bold, with full mouthfeel; astringent caramel and malt flavor, with a light interesting vinegar note, some sourness and later light oak vanilla. A complex experiment; may improve with aging.

2011-12-15, bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, brewed in 2011, 8-4-8-4-18=42
It pours a hazy dark amber color, flat, no carbonation, no head. Intense aroma, with malt, the classic BFM funkyness, wood, light vanilla. Full bodied, although the semi-sweet mouthfeel is cut by a moderate sourness; good malt flavor, strong bitterness, with light astringency and medium funkyness, turning into bitter orange peels; there is a light caramelly note of rum. The alcohol is just perceived. Very good.
