Golden copper in color with a thin white lacy head and decent retention. Aroma is moderately ttart and complimented by lemon and a mild funk. Taste is initially very tart but quickly fares to a nice balance between tart and sweet. Delicious!

Keg at Moeder Lambic as ’BFM √225 Saison’. Hazy orange, still, creamy off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, custard, papery woody notes, musty, maltings. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is soft vanilla, smooth malts, apple skin, elderflower, gooseberry, integrated oak. Really drinkable and balanced. I’ve only had two saisons from BFM but on this evidence they are masters of the style.

330 ml bottle. Bought in La mise en biere in Lausanne. The best beer of Switzerland according to this website, so let’s go. Amber color with white head, good looking. Fruity smell, kind of ipalish; mango, peach, pepper. Acid, but in the good way! not in the oaked way. The taste is frutal, but I guess it could be called a happy beer, it’s really a positive tast.e that gives you a smile. Nice ending that stays with you. Fantastic beer!

Bottle from Brewfest. Golden orange hazy with big dense head and lace. Funky citrus and peppery floral aroma with a touch of leather. Tropical fruit and citrus and grassy sweetness with very dry light funky citrus finish. LIght soft body. Just a touch of wood, which is fine for such a light beer. Excellent.

0,75l bottle shared by me at Linz RB Tasting. Vintage 2014. BB 01/2019. gusher. orange cloudy color, small white head. smells of funk, green apples, nuts, marzipan, horse blankett, light sweetness, ketchup / light tomato notes, spices. nice smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sour, green apples, light sweetness, nuts, marzipan, spices, tomato, light vinegar, a bit grassy, funk, light wood. finishes lightly sour with some notes of green apples and a bit stale even. has a rather mild sour finish, not sure something disturbs me a bit about this one, the finishes is rather not so refreshing, maybe not sour enough. Still a nice beer though, but I had better Saisons. sourness: 3(4)/5

750 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Orange, cloudy, with a big, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma of barnyard, oak, apples, apricot, sour citrus, subtle cheese, some candy.
Taste follows this, with some more pears and some vinegar.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbination.
Finishes dry, wooden, medium sour, fruity, a bit sweet, with some honey notes at the very end.

Tasty. Complex and greatly balanced, with just enough sourness and oak notes, drinks really smooth and fresh. A Brett Saison how I like it, among my favourite style examples.

Aroma: grapes, wine, saison yeast / barnyard, light wood barrel. Appearance: hazy gold, medium, creamy, white head. Taste: medium sour. Palate: instant oak barrels, wooden flavours, citrus, some light sweetness coming up, reverting quickly to sours and bitters again, brett, long, dry, bitter and sour finish with intense notes of wood again. Overall: OK Saison, surely on the sour side. Pint at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green.

Tasted at Vinni,Birri,Ribelli 2015. Pours unclear yellow, good white head. Smell is fruity, almost like grapes. Taste is sour, dry, very mild. Balanced, but a bit buttery.
