Slight hazy yellow/orange with a big fluffy head. Nose of tropical fruit, oak and white wine, reminds me of a lambic. Taste has some light fruit, maybe a hint of lemon, surprisingly malty, oak comes through after the fruit dies down. Finishes with a tart kick that disappears quickly and the oak comes through again with a little funk. Light bodied and dry.

Swaroga (1272) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2014
Butelka 50cl. OCZY : piwo jest mętne o kolorze zółtym. Piana jest spora. Kolor piany jest biały. NOS : aromat niesie wyraźne nuty cytrusów i drewna. Zapach podobny do gueuze. Ale to nie oddaje bogactwa tego piwa. Tarta, twaróg, siano, grzyby, niedojrzale zielone owoce. USTA : piwo jest dobrze gazowane i puszyste. Kremowe w ustach. Piana natomiast jest zbita i podobna w konsystencji do ubitego białka. Piwo jest wytrawne o umiarkowanej słodkości. Dominują smaki cierpkie i gorzkie.

Pours golden with fluffy head. Funky, dry fruity nose. Apricot, orange, grapefruit. Nicely tart, very fruity, great stone fruit, yogurt, some vanilla. So fresh and easy drinkable but still complexity and fun to drink. Will come again many times

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a hazy light yellow with a fizzy white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has light grain with some underlying tartness with a bit of oak and light fruit. Flavor has tartness and light fruits/tropical fruits up front that allow a bit of belgian yeast and oak to come out in the finish.

I’m an easily amused nerd: put a √ in a beer’s name and I’m sold! The best thing is that the beer itself is as pretty as the name, it has a beautiful medium orange, cloudy and opaque body with a large, creamy, white, long-lived head that covers my glass with foam. The aroma is strong and has a gentle funkiness with notes of barnyard and leather, on a fruity background. Strong flavour, again funky barnyard in front with accompanying fruits and overripe strawberries, lemon in the back and traces of pine. The taste is light sweet, light sour, light acetic and the finish is light bitter. Very light-bodied and very dry, with a lively carbonation. A good saison, but I still haven’t tasted a bretty beer that I wouldn’t have liked better if it was clean.

From a bottle. The pour is a high carbonation with a slight orange more yellow appearence with a white lace . A grassy, sticky, cloudy, barnyard.

Bottle shared by MatSciGuy! Slightly hazy yellow pour, small ring of carbonation and an aroma of nice light woody lemons. Flavor is also nice light lemongrass, hay and finished dry and tart.
