Pours initially hazy, building to cloudy with chunky large sediment, yellow-apricot with 1.5-inches cream-colored head, coarse, moderate rate of decay. Aroma is rather sour, lactic, but with lots of old dry cheese, substantial floral notes, a bit of bubble gum, grapefruit juice with a bit of mango and mint. Body is light, watery, a tad bit starchy. Carbonation is moderate intensity, medium-fine, blanket of light burn. Flavor is lemon juice tartness with a hint of cherry laffy taffy (that’s a throwback). Some tingling grain and herbs in the finish. I wish the laffy taffy were subdued, but overall a very unique, tart saison. Worth trying. I’m not sure if it lives up to the rating its given, though.

Draft at Holy Grale. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (barnyard, cobwebs), with notes of lemon/lime zest, band aid, oak. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Quite nice...reminds me of Russian River Temptation and Sanctification...elegant blend of sour ale and saison sort of characters, nice yeast, nice tartness. It stopped just short of 4+ excitement for me, but this is very tasty stuff.

Pours dark gold with a fine white head. Aroma is lactic with dried apricot and prune, a little moldy and some phenol. Flavor is heavy on the brett, slightly stone fruity with an almost melon middle and a dry brett finish.

750 ML bottle Believe a 2012 Vintage Gusher. Lost a 1/4 of bottle in opening Hazy straw yellow color, big billowy white head. Thick soap like lacing and good retention on the head. Nose was very dry. Grain, hay, lemon, zest, oak, and touches of white wine. Taste was dry as well. Lots of hay and straw with a good amount of lemon and citrus. Once the beer opened up it got much more citrus and honey based. Dry as heck. Not funky at all. Liked it once half way through this. Confounding style

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. As "La Saison". 2014 bottle. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Lovely funky aroma with wood, some vinous character, fruitiness, floral touches and a bit of earth. Dry flavor, sourish, funky, a bit floral, fruity, with a bitterish, vinous and slightly spicy finish. Medium-bodied.
