75 cL bottle, courtesy of Bov. Pours hazy to murky dark amber brown with a creamy, off-white and dense head. Aroma is fruity, wineous, slight acetone and citric. Smooth fruity, phenolic and vanilla wooden flavoured. Smooth lingering wineous notes mixed with light alcohol warmth and phenolic notes. Lingering fruity finish but certainly with an alcohol presence. Thanks Philippe for this great beer!

Bottled. A murky dark red-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and sour like a Flemmish sour ale with notes of berries, alcohol, and apples. The flavor is malty with notes of apples and berries, leading to a dry woodey end, and the body is thick. Interesting but a bit weird.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, dark orangey brown with an off-white head. Sourish aroma with hints of wood. Surprisingly light body with a tart, vinous edge and distinct oakiness. The alcohol really shines through in the finish. Very interesting - sort of an Imperial Flemish Sour. Thank you Bov for this yummy brew. 130806

Bottled. Hazy brown colour, minor white head. Strong alcohol, fruit and plum in the aroma. Flavour is alcoholic and plummy with hints of pepper and some other spices. Interesting beer, which has clear strong hints of alcohol, but not disturbing at all.

[Bottled, thanks Bov!] Hazy mahogany colour. Refined aroma of tobacco and well oaked red wine. Medium sweet. Mildly malty and very vinous with some tartness. Surprisingly light bodied for it’s size. Simply wonderful flavourwise, with slightly less sweetness it’d achieve perfection!

Dark brown color; thin collar. Very nice aroma, with a good mix of vanilla from the cask and the typical yeasty sourness from BFM. Good body structure, with malt and caramel flavor, some sweetness, with the medium BFM sourness and astringency, harsh but softened by the velvety vanilla notes from the cask; maybe the alcohol is too evident. A very good and complex beer. It was worth waiting a few years.

2004 bottle, 10%. Sour, sweet, vinouos aroma with earthy and woody notes. Cloudy dark red/brown colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour is sour, acidic, raisiny.

Extra special thanks to Bov for this! Dark brown colour. Big aroma is oaky, alcoholic and yeasty. Full body. Lots of chewy maltiness but moves dextrously across the palate. Depth of fruitiness lends style, while wood and alcohol notes provide the backbone. Fat, tangy, complex finish. This is really cool stuff.

(750ml Bottle, 2004 vintage) Pours a cloudy brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, plum, vinous, lemon, toasted bread, raisins, molasses, and bourbon barrel. Flavor of vinous, cocoa, sour brett funkiness, Dr. Pepper syrup, toasted marshmallow, apple, and caramel malt.
