Pours with a huge, rocky, light brown head with a hazy amber body underneath. Aroma of sourness, wood, suntan lotion, metal, currants and Dr. Pepper. Taste is sour, with dark fruits, suntan lotion, caramel, chloraseptic, plastic and roofing material. Finishes bitter. Thin, fizzy mouthfeel with a cough syrup aftertaste.

Pours an amber hue with a medium light brown head that is mostly diminishing. Bubbles like champagne - a good looking beer indeed. Aroma is of sun tan oil, dark fruits, lots of rusty metal, and some hints of yeast. Flavor is watery at the beginning, medium sour in the middle, and slightly alcoholic at the end. Weird tasting beer. Mouthfeel is very thin for its alcohol content. Champagne like carbonation.

A real gem acquired via trade with Chewy and consumed on my last day of vacation. Thanks man! Aroma was delicious. Oak, vinegar and fruit with a funkiness that you can almost see. Pour was a nice hazy dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was delicious. Heavy notes of oak, vinegar and sour fruit. Not mouth puckering sour but that first sip sure wakes the taste buds up. Strong carbonation with a tart sour aftertaste. Great beer!

Hazy amber. Spritzy, so much that it has no head. Funky, fruity aroma is vibrant, oaky and almost rodenbachy. Vibrant, oaky, fruity palate with hints of tartness. Drinks light. Brash fruitiness. Burly, very farmhousey. Another winner from BFM.

22oz bottle. Generously provided by Kevin at our regular monday tasting. What a hell of a beer. Pours a deep red. The nose is amazing on this beer. Cherry and grape with a rich caramel nose. Some hints of apple skins. Taste is just astonishingly tasty. One of the tastiest beers I’ve ever had. Caramel and dark fruits show up at front perhaps tipping us off to what this beer once was before time in the barrell. Followed by layers of sour cherry, and grapes. Huge long and immensely satisfying cherry skin aftertaste, similar to the Cantillion Lou Pepe Kriek. What an astonishing beer.

At Funky Buddha. Deep red/vermillion. Full on funk nose has fruit (grape, apple) skin and the layer right beneath it. Body is brilliant with lovely cherry throughout. Looking forward to the one in the closet. Maybe by then Daknole will change his mind ;)

750 ml, label says "2006, blended October 2007". Hazy, reddish-chestnut with a small, fizzy head that sticks around. Aroma is prunes, face-puckering tart cherry, funky must and light oak. Flavor is even more body-puckering with cherry-lemon juice, prunes, and light vinegar. Oak shows up about halfway through each sip, thank goodness. Medium body is extremely astringent and mostly smooth with light carbonation. Quick, gimme me a pale lager or a malt liquor or anything to get this taste out of my mouth!

Well not my type of beer. Reddish brown pour. Aroma is funky, sour, fruity and has some wine notes. Flavor is funky as hell with some serious sourness. I am able to pick up some certain sourness and some barrel notes. But I just cannot get into this style. And Beershine, I don’t think I ever will...
