Congrats to AtlAggie for opening this. Glad to celebrate you finishing the bar exam. Poured a reddish brown color with a thin tan head that disspiates pretty quickly. Pleasantly sour with an enjoyably fruity flavor. The fruit is a refreshing cherry and plum combo. Aroma is yeasty and a little earthy. Finish is slightly sweet and touches a lot of different places of your palate. Very nice, complex, all around drink.

Had at seattle international beer festival. Pours hazy brown with tons of floaties that looks gross. Slightly tan bubbly head. Aroma is slight tart bread. Flavor tart but not too tart pineapple. Nice mellow sour.

Bottle from State Line. Pours turbid ruby brownish with off-white head that rapidly fades. Nose is tart cherry, berry, earthy peaty malt. Tastes very tart, with a pronounced cherry, raspberry, and winey flavor giving way to earthy peaty lambic notes. The palate is lively, well carbonated, and complex. This one is nice.

sampled with the phoenix crew. bottle by way of john_adam2002. pours a cloudy dark woody brown with some orange tints. foamy tan cap has some pretty big bubbles. the aroma is musty... lambic-like dryness and funk, tart red cherries, red wine vinegar, cinnamon/spice and some lemon?. the flavor is really tart... moreso than the aroma led me to believe but very well balanced as well. it starts off malty (metallic, but that soon fades) with a bunch of ripe red cherries and soon turns dry, lightly funky and woody with sour/vinegar notes with lots of minerals. dry tart finish. medium body is quite crisp and insanely drinkable...

PIB 2008. I had the 2004 a few years ago, so I was looking forward to another shot at this beer, it was good, but the 2004 I remember being a bitter better. This pours orange, lightly hazy, with a white head. Citrus and oak, with a cherry flavor toward the finish. The soft earthiness in the finish meshed with the barrels to give a dry and soft tartness.

On tap at 2008 PIB in Portland--Poured a handsome orange body with a cloudy wispy head. Nose of sweet cherries, pears, and other fruity esters. It was a pleasure to experience this subtly tart Swiss brew.

nice orange amber with a bit of haze and light head that releases a light sweet aroma of light cherries peaches apple and crisp pear. the flavor is more sour than the aroma would suggest but retains some sweetness. a bit of yeast funk and barrel room musk.
