Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, garthicus and GregClow. Cloudy deep amber, average creamy beige head. Dry spicy/funky aroma, slight tart fruit malt - nice! Taste - also quite dry and funky, spice and malt, long bitter finish. Average body, dry and astringent - really solid.

2008-08-15.Ruddy amber brown body with a good sized beige head. (3+) Musty funky aroma, light sour cherries. Sourness in the flavour is modes but pervasive, malt core, sour alcoholic kick in the finish. Average palate, lightly carbonated. Decent but I don’t love it, probably suffered from following up some heavy hitters though. 2006 vintage bottle shared by HogTownHarry

"The first time I saw Britney Spears I was at a hotel in Bangkok... and thats all I want to tell about that." - Garthicus

Bottle at JoeMcfee’s tasting. Bring the funk. Good flavors of different light skin fruits, cherries, grapes etc. Really sick sour ale and the 11% is begging for you to help yourself to more.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Huge creamy thick and lasting beige head. Cloudy amber color with light particulate in flow. Aroma of grain, sour notes, wood, citrus and moderated mix of sour fruit and berries. Reminded me more of a red wine really. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with moderated sour notes. Sour fruity finish. 28-09-2007

(Bottled) Muddy brown with a small, lasting head and floating yeast particles. Similarly sour and grainy aroma as in the 2005 version, but with less pronounced sourness and more sharpness. Slightly sour, grainy-malty flavor with alcohol slightly sharply present. Could use some maturing to balance the flavors, and maybe emphasize the nice sourness. Medium-bodied, sour palate with low carbonation. A very pleasant brew, but not quite as nice and balanced as 2005.

Poured a murky red brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass Aroma of wood, nuts, cherries, light wild yeast, with some cardboard. taste of cherries and wood, with some toffee, and a dry, acidic finish. A bit medicinal, with the alcohol coming through way too strong in the end.

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep woody brown with a foamy head- slight diminishing- ok lace. Aroma is funky- barnyard and even blue cheese infection, some sour cherry and pedio bacteria- slight aceto and tart- woody and slight oak. Flavor is funky farmhouse, grassy leather and earth still with some decent big sweet malts, toffee, light caramel, wine, grapeskin and tannic with some earthy sweaty gymsock funk- acetic and slightly sharp - decent sourness- complex and really nice.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev, jerc & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a deep orange-ruby with an average size diminishing tan head. Sweet, funky yeast aroma with tart fruit, oak and spices. Flavour’s yeasty and fruity along with caramel malt, some hops, wood and light spices -- quite nice! Dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Excellent, a very enjoyable beer.
