Bottle. Pours tawny with an average, frothy, light brown head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, straw), light hops (herbs), average yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of apricot, grape, and plum. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Thanks to egajdzis. Pours a hazy brownish red with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of tart cherry, barnyard, some alcohol, floral notes and some caramel. Flavor of tart cherries, some light funkiness, light alcohol, some slight vinegar notes and other barnyard notes.

Bottle. Aroma is both funky grapes and cherries. Nice cherry tartnes along with a fresh barnyard grasiness. tons of funk, tons of grape, tons of awesomeness.

Bottle at iowaherkeye’s tasting. 2006 vintage. Thanks for sharing Joey. Poured a hazy reddish-brown color. Aroma was of sour fruits (apple, cherry) and yeasty bread dough. It was fairly acidic on the tongue, peaking at about 5 out of 10, and carbonation was ample. Subdued black pepper accented the more dominant earthy brown leaves/wood, tart apple, and cherry. There was also an occasional hint of wet dog. Decent overall.

750 Bottle @ Montreal Crew Spaghetti Tasting. Pours brown amber with big islands of tan head. Nice big sour aroma. Taste is sour, sticky, very flemish with wild yeast and oak. Damn tasty.

Dark coppery colored, cloudy appearance. Little light brown head. Strong sourness in aroma with berries and this funny, still positive wet-mushroom aroma. Medium bodied, crispy carbonation. Flavor is also of course sour with still some lemony touch, even some wooden tones there. Good, still very different from 2005 version.

Well not my type of beer. Reddish brown pour. Aroma is funky, sour, fruity and has some wine notes. Flavor is funky as hell with some serious sourness. I am able to pick up some certain sourness and some barrel notes. But I just cannot get into this style. And Beershine, I don’t think I ever will...

Bottle shared with, and courtesy of MartinT. Half the bottle rushed out of the bottle like a fountain. Cloudy red-brown. Light sour dark fruit scent. Muddy cherry tart beer. Light chocolate and cherry.
