Bottle at WWBA ’12 Brooklyn. Really nice sour. Notes of sour cherry, old cheese, and funk in the nose. Prominent funkiness in the flavor with slight sourness.

cracklefish (98) - Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2012
Bottle - Ruby pour with zero head and little to no bubbles. Lots of complexity on the nose including an acidic vegetal tomato character. Flavor is soft sweetness against a sour note. Approaching Flanders in acidity but not there completely. Very delicious and interesting.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, translucent ruby amber with some creamy, beige head. Nice, funky nose, cheese, hay, grass, cherries, red grapes, windex. Flavor is sweet, tart, sour, dandelion greens, lemons. Medium bodied, sweet finish. Great nose. Flavor needed more funk.

Bottle pour from Erzbierschof. Pours a very cloudy light brown. Smells mellowed, tart fruits, sour Brett, metallic overtones. Tastes medium sweetness, metallic oxidation, mellowed sourness with some soft apricot and other such fruits. Tingles the tongue. Very good, but might be fraying at the edges with age.

Bottle shared with the fam on xmas. Pours murky light brown with light tan head. Aromas of sourness, fruit, toffee. Flavors of dark fruits, little booze, and fair amount of acidity and tartness. Can’t believe how well this has held up. Really solid.

Pretty crazy beer. Not super sour, but lots going on. I got toffee, grass, a hint of some, lots of horse and blanket and lots of other nooks and crannies to explore. A little bit goes a long way with a beer like this, as palate fatigue soon sets in.

Bottle with pat and James. Pours a brown haze with brown head. Nice funky aroma. Taste isn’t quite as funky/sour as I expected but it grows on you. Berry flavors shine through with some doughiness. Sticky finish.
