COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The color of this beer points out the old wines of Burgundy with their red tile with a light foam collar. With the nose, the ASBC surprises, because one finds there a range of very astonishing flavours, spices (grooves, wooded), of the brandy odors, ripe fruit and point liquorice and vegetable dry. In mouth, it is necessary to take more time than a beer of conventional tasting: one starts with velvety, raised of light carbonic giving a little nerve, to arrive on a light acidity of the vinous notes and a very low bitterness. The ASBC strikes by its length in mouth and its Port side. It is appropriate well for example for a steaklet of duck or foie gras stove thawed with the vinegar of Modena or for a bitter chocolate.

Beautiful deep amber body, some sparkle and a very little head; Beautiful orange peel, flower and a little to oaky nose; Sharp biting somehow aggressive acid body; intense acid finish, lots of oak tannins actually to much. Very very interesting super complex beer, very drinkable, a little to oaky, the tannins are to hard, but except from that an excellent beer.

Bottle sample at Muckfest V on 7/12/14. Clear amber in color with a thin beige head. Aroma of sourness, tart fruit and a bit of nail polish remover. Sour fruit flavor with some caramel maltiness before a sour finish.

750 ml bottle shared at Muckfest - thanks! I can’t remember who brought it, but I know I know. Damn. Anyway, pours a hazed amber color with virtually no head. Notes of funk, oak, leather, caramel, booze, dried fruit, hay, mellow spice, faint vinegar, and a little musty basement. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a funky, fruity mouthfeel. Pretty interesting vintage. I’d like to try more of these.

Cherry red in color and tone, with a lively funky nose. Has a delicate tartness that shows remarkable restraint whilst also livening up the tastebuds. The mouthfeel is remarkable - solid carbonation along with a lasting sourness and tartness whilst this beer also manages to be light/smooth and acidic and balanced. Outstanding.

750 ml bottle. Shared with Andy Skaggs. The beer pours a beautiful clear amber/ruby with a quickly fading soapy head. Aroma is cherries, oak, vanilla. Flavor is tart, very sour cherries, a hint raspberries and red wine notes. Delicious sour finish. One of my favorites.

Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! This is acetone and fruit. Sharp acetone and paint thinner feel with some nice cherry and strawberry lactic notes. A mix of offensive and awesome, with thankfully more of the latter.

Pours murky reddish brown color with tan head. Sour cherry and oak aromas. Sour and funky flavors of cherries, dark fruits, toffee and wood. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours very hazy maroon with dark creme colored head. Rapidly diminishing with no lacing. Aroma is tart, big buttery oaky, fruity, cherry, plum, vinous and vinegar. Flavor is moderately tart, big dried cherry, grape, fruit leather, with a buttery oak finish, vinous, with a lingering tart, oaky aftertaste. Soft carbonation, medium body, and mildly dry, astringent finish. Mildly warm but alcohol is well hidden. Very good.

Nice. Complex. I'm admittedly not a sour guy. But there's something going on here that is exquisite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Hay Merchant. Pours a cloudy brown ruby with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is oak, cherry skin, and brandy. Thin mouthfeel with cherry oak and light tartness in the finish. Very impressive.

Bottle shared by jayhawk73. Thanks man! The beer is ruby to amber in color. The head quickly fades to nil. Sourness, red wine, grape skins, must, earth, tart berries. Complex and delicious. Intense sourness and acetic finish. Bold and assertive. A terrific beer that ages well.
