4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Jow (900) - USA - MAR 28, 2010
Did a o6, 07, and 08 vertical tasting at the Captain Lawrence Rosso e Marrone release yesterday thanks to someone named Joe. Good carbonation, tart, with some cherry flavors. The sourness really lasts and I loved all three. This one is brightest which i enjoyed a lot.

Pours tea-like orange/brown color; thin sawdusty head. Smells like Avery’s Depuceleuse and Dyhos Dactylion, in the same vein. Tastes very similar too.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, light brown with zero head. Nose has lots of sweetness, some wood, cherry, lemon, raspberry. Flavor is tart, acidic, sweet, wood pulp, vinegar, sugary. Full bodied, very tart, acidic finish. Has tons of barrel character.

Thanks BeerandBlues2! Murky orange brown pour with a huge dark head. Toffee, oak tannins, and wicked acidity give way to dark fruits and hints of brine. Awesome.

750 ml, thanks to BeerandBlues2 for bringing this one! Classic awesome sweet dark fruit funk, with plum, fig, raisin, apple, oak, toffee, and huge vinous presence. The fruity funk is just wonderful, and the 11% is hard to feel... until afterward. Yummy.

hazy red amber, thin tan ring. Balsamic, cherry light brown sugar. Flavor similar, few acetic or acetone, bit of sting. Thin, oily, and light alcohol burn, few off notes in light elmers/paper dryness. The sugar and cherry singular qualities actually help here, probably my favorite bfm from memory, most of the common flaws masked a bit.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GT2 (3953) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 12, 2011
750mL at Sour Epic Part 2. The pour is a tepid, hazy, deep strawberry. No head formation like a lot of these BFM sours. Fruit juice aroma, sweet strawberries and red cherries. Taste is rose wine, cherry juice box, evident alcohol heat. Small paperiness. Nice acidic balance. Soft mouthfeel- easy to drink for 11%. These BFMs are dangerously easy to enjoy so be careful.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 marcus (4050) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
Bottle from Monument Wines. Pours amber with no head, just a few bubbles, and a sour vinegar and fruit aroma. There is a full-bodied winey fruit flavor that jumps onto the palate immediately. This is a very well-aged beer that goes well with cheese.
