Pours a hazy amber color with very little head. Aroma of strong ripe fruits, grapes, oak and spices. Flavors of ripe sour fruits, earthy, old oak, some dry straws and spices. Low carbonation, good sour fruity dry finish. Wow, this is a very mature tasting brew, lots of changing flavors as you drink. Wonderfull brew. A real interesing and delicious experience.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Lukaduke (113) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Pours a flat murky rusty brown... Aromas are of funky mossy oak, sour cherries, tart apple cider all wrapped into a slighty sweet maltiness. The flavors are spot on with the nose but a complex vinous touch of fruity acidity plays well with the sour funky flavors.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 bhensonb (7577) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours hazy dark ruddy-orange amber with a few whiteish bubbles. Aromas of oak and light pitted fruits. Underlying vinosity. Med body. Flavor is tart, oaky and has a fair amount of light pitted fruit arguably accompanied by citrus. Orange even. Some of that fruit may actually be red berry. Certainly some red wine comes forth. And it shows sour. Heat is hardly noticeable. Finishes deliciously fruity, oaky, sour and astringent. All quite mellow.

troligtvis drack jag denna i en sommarträdgård på Limhamn. Ölet är inte helt i harmoni. Många trevliga smaker som dock spretar åt lika olika håll och inte kan hålla sams.

[4133-20111119] 12.68floz bottle (incorrect). Light beef malt aroma. Slightly hazy, red amber body with a quick foamy white head and some thin lacing. Sweet boozy malt flavour has an overpowering roasty caramel malt throughout. Medium-full body. Interesting but something off in it that I don’t like. (7/3/5/3/14) 3.2

2011-11-19. Lightly hazy dark amber-red body with a small beige head and film. 3+ Flavour is funny, sort of cherry stem/leaf notes, modest cherry flavour, modest sourness throughout, modest alcohol grows as you go. Mild aroma, sour cherry and cherry pits. 6+ Average plus palate. Meh, not loving it. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, shared at Rudolf’s Sourfest 2011 "It’s like a zamboni in your mouth!"

Bottle looks really good, although a bit complex. Beer in the glass brownish, huge head. Starts modest sourish, fruity like sour apple and grapefruit. Some spicy hints. Finish drier, still sourish. Okay.
