been wanting to try one of these for a while // finally I would say // 25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic // very dark pomegranate, off-white head, neat appearance // smell is rich sour jam, berries, fruit liquer, both s & t have an element to me that oddly for me feels like a sour La Trappe O.A. 3, vinegar, wood // taste is round, soft, jammy straight lime, strawberry jam, berry jam, quite heavy on the strawberries. vinegar, wood, almost spirit like in the ending, sourness sinks in, malty // jammy body // yeah

On tap during the 43 Hours of Dark at The Birch, Norfolk, VA. Reddish-brown pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sour cherry, apple cider vinegar, and oak. Beautiful sour taste of tart cherry and oak. Hard to believe this is an 11.2% ABV beer as the alcohol is not detected. An awesome sour.

This is a beautiful beer. From bottle No. 00276. Pours a deep amber red color with a really nice looking beige head, that stay nicely. Aromas for dry red fuits, berries, malts and notes of oaks. Complex flavors of dry red fruits, apples, light woody notes. Nice dry sourness, reminds me of some great lambics. Nice complex evolving and long lasting taste. Very enjoyable.
Had the 2009, and this 2011 is just as nice, very top consistant Swiss Ale. Can’t wait to try other BFM.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Kosmokrator (302) - ITALY - MAR 12, 2013
Birra complessa e perfettamente bilanciata, eccezionale.

Oklar röd/brun i färgen med litet vitt skum. Doftar sur-söt, mogna körsbär, lite funky, vinöst, karamell. Smakar härligt sur-sött, vinöst, funky, körsbär, röda bär, vinäger. Fantastiskt.

On tap. Clear dark red ambder with almost no head. Very pleasant floral caramel apple aroma. Very bright thick sticky palate. Tastes of lemon! Sour green apple and caramel with a dry oaky vanilla and candy finish and lingering floral perfume on the back end. Excellent.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2013
Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier From an undisturbed bottle it pours a hazy dark red-amber color, with small compact head, lasting longer than usual. The aroma is deep, intense, spreading in the room; it’s vinous, woody, mildly sour, with notes of nuts; very light acetone in the end. Full bodied, the mouthfeel is very smooth; malt flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, and a lovely accent of grapes and wine (muscatel like); fruity, with some wood and therefore light astringency; some berries too appear in the final. Excellent beer. Once more. Fresh and dynamic. Note: my bottle too has 00276 on it, so probably it’s not the bottle number ;-)

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy amber, small head. Woody vinegar aroma. Sourish with well rounded mouthfeel and near full body. Mildly warming with slight , yet relaxed and complex. Another winner from BFM!
