Pours reddish brown, no head. Smells sweet, sour, and funky. Sweet a bit like an orange, sour like lemon and vinegar, and almost a cheese like funk. So delicious. Finishes clean and crisp.

Red amber body with golden reflections; cloudy to opaque; big bubbles and and not lasting foam. Aroma of candied cherry, strawberry, raspberry; vinous perfume, alcohol like brandy; very very apetizing. Full sourness mixed with roundness; oily; not very much lasting but much body; intense taste of fruit : strawberry, prune; woody and lightly astringent; woody bitterness that progressively develops. Very easy to drink despite its high ABV. Very nice with fourme de Montbrison, lamb, and chocolate too. And splendid by itself, actually.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark amber / maroon with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of vinegar, light tart fruits, some worcestershire sauce, and light sweetness. Flavour is quite vinegary and acidic, with woody, dark fruits, medium sourness, medium acidity, and some worcestershire sauce. A lot sharper than the other years in terms of acidity. Well-constructed and a pleasure to slowly sip as usual. Very good.

A,ber pour, large head that disappears quickly. Fairly fruty aroma and taste... Red currant, cherry skin, far bit of funk, red wine, red and green grapes, oak in both aroma and taste. Medium body.

Reddish pink with a thin off white head. Aroma is a bit fruity and sharp. Flavor is fruity and light with just a touch of sour funk in the finish. Surprisingly clean and crisp in the front though it doesn’t leave a decently strong aftertaste. Wife: 4.5

Currant, clay, and dates aroma, shortbread. Murky ochre, thin head. Tart on the front and back ends. Milder at midpalate. Distinct stewed apples and currants with shortbread underneath. Tasty and unique, but was missing the mustiness that I was expecting. Wonderful beer.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2014 375ml bottle served in a snifter glass. 2011 Edition. A: Pours a light and bit fuzzy amber color forming a small yellow bubbled head. Small retention and only few spotty lacings left in the glass. S: Absolutely delicious in the nose. Sweet grains, wood, grapes, wild yeasts. A bit sour and vinegar but not aggressive. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Fruity and woody. Notes of sweet malts, dark fruits, mainly grapes. Wild Lambic like yeasts. In overall a slightly sweet sour beer. Hops bitterness is also there to make it perfect. M: Medium molasses body. Low carbonation. Tart and fruity aftertaste. O: Excellent drinkability. Perfect beer. Swiss masterpiece.
