4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2013
Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier From an undisturbed bottle it pours a hazy dark red-amber color, with small compact head, lasting longer than usual. The aroma is deep, intense, spreading in the room; it’s vinous, woody, mildly sour, with notes of nuts; very light acetone in the end. Full bodied, the mouthfeel is very smooth; malt flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, and a lovely accent of grapes and wine (muscatel like); fruity, with some wood and therefore light astringency; some berries too appear in the final. Excellent beer. Once more. Fresh and dynamic. Note: my bottle too has 00276 on it, so probably it’s not the bottle number ;-)
