25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Dark amber red fruits with a big creamy mocha brown head. Nose is nicely balsamic, vinegar styled with some jam & mashed forest fruits in the back. Less jam & more vinegar in a good way than I remember the 2011 being. Taste is balsamic vinegar, tart wood, thick red forest fruits smoothie, pretty tart, wild berries, faint strawberry jam, touch lemon, touch paint sourness. Body is thick mashed red fruits / smooth. Lovely, easy to drink & very delicious, comparable to what I remember the 2011 being like with only minor difference due to some other highlights here & there. Still absolutely wonderful stuff.

This is a great sour. Vinous aroma and oaky woody and dark fruit aromas with some wine barrel in there as well. Maybe 6 of 10 vinous. Really like a consecration flavor with a bit more cherry flavor to it. A great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy brown color. Extremely tart red grape smell. Tart bite blends sour cherry earthy oak. AMAZING.

@RBBWG14. Dark brown/red colour. Very well balanced beer. Complex aroma of sour fruit and vinegar. Light sweet with sour and vinous taste. Very very good!

draught@Erzbierschof Punkt - cloudy dark amber-brown beer with a persistent foam left; apple and sour cherries, vinegar-like aroma; notes of wood appear while the beer gets warmer; full-bodied and solidly sourish, subtle and moderate carbonation; velvety, pretty dry and long sourish finish of wood and cherries - great as usual

On tap 18.01.2014 @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas Brussels. Pours a deep amber slightly hazy body with a medium off-white creamy head. Aroma: vanilla, oak, bit dark malt, apple vinegar, and wood tanines sourness. Medium body Taste is again woord, mild apple vinegar, little caramel and grains in the back. Very smooth and enjoyable sour ale; could be in the Flemish Red category. FANTASTIC !

Rřdbrun, uklar. Medium off-white kremaktig skum. Aroma av vanilje, tre, eple og grape. Lite kullsyre. Prikkende/boblende munnfřlelse. Herlig syrlig ettersmak. Noe av det beste jeg har drukket!

Pours golden with an amber hue. Smells sour immediately. This was a friend's who had chilled the bottle. We let it sit for a few minutes before partaking. Exceptional. Masks the 11% with ease. Strange taste that hits the back of your palette, which apparently is common among Swiss sours. Sour profile increased as it warmed.

Shared bottle at Craft., from State Line Turbid ruby pour with minimal head. Nose is vinous fruit, earthy lactic tartness. Tastes dense on the palate, complex, with notes of layered vinous fruit, fig, tannins, earthy lactic tartness, and a flavor like a cross between New Glarus Raspberry Tart and a Cantillon offering. Outstanding!
