(37.5cl brewed 09 bottled March 2010 thanks to bu11zeye) clearish orange/brown with a few surface bubbles. Nose of tart cranberry, alcohol, tangerine, wet barrel, light funk and mossy. Taste of bread, wheat, doughy, tart dried cranberry, smooth and easy to drink, still and without carbonation for the most part.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy brownish amber, coarse head. Wonderful aroma of cobwebs, vinegar, lemon and red wine. Near full bodied with soft yet firm mouthfeel. Mildly acetic with white pepper and Burgundy wine. Warming and intense. Love it - if I am to drink big beers, this is the kind of big beers I’m to drink!!

375 ml bottle courtesy of omhper. Shared at epic tasting on February 11. Pours hazy reddish brown with a small off-white head that leaves almost no trace while dissipating. Smell is sweet and sour with caramel, brown sugar, lemon juice, dates, prunes, burnt sugar, wood and hay. Taste is sour and sweet with caramel, burnt sugar, plums, citrus, unripe grapes, dates, figs and hints of metal and farmyard. Mouthfeel is slightly thin and vinous. Finish is tart and slightly metallic with grape zest.

Brought by omhper, thanks!
Cloudy copper to brown color, very small head. Alcohol, vinous scent. Red wine, vinous, grainy, husky, alcohol taste. Warming alcohol. Thin mouthfeel, vinous red wine bite. Dry bitterness.
Reminds me too much of a ry red wine to be good for my taste :(

Thanks Carl! Murky brown with no head. Coconut, toffee, wood, vanilla, tapioca pudding, and sour booze finish off with dark fruit. Thick palate for the style with low carbonation.

Light orangey caramel pour. Nose holds slight vegetal notes, apple brandy, caramel, grape jelly, and woody funk. The flavor brings more boozy heat to the profile, along with some interesting coconut and pineapple to mesh with the aforementioned dark fruit and sweet tartness. Interesting, but not as balanced or nuanced as many of BFM’s offerings.

375mL thanks to craftycarl21. Hazier, flat, reddish strawberry color. I think we know where this is going. Sugary red fruit nose with some Belgian Christmas ale red licorice and fruit cake. Taste is metallic and watery. Thin feeling. Very red fruit centric and muted wine character. The weakest of the BFM sours at our tasting.
