Bottle. Pours reddish-brown with a small beige head. Tart aroma of berries, grapes, wood, earth and tobacco. Great sour flavor with notes of berries, citrus, wood, tobacco and earth. Great tartness throughout ending with berry, wood and wine notes. A great sour.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky caramel-colored ale with a brief, fat-bubbled, white head. The aroma is a mélange of sour cherries, red wine and caramel along with a trace of oak. Full-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor offers sour cherries, grape SweeTarts and dark wine layered upon a rumor of red wine vinegar. Finishes tart and fruity with only a suggestion of bread-crust bitterness. World class beer!

Tasty beer here on draft. Similiar smell and taste to all of the series, vinegar, slight funk, rich maltiness. BUt this one is much more winey and vinous, some tannins, vey nice.

Bottle courtesy of fiulijn.Deep amber/tawny pour with a little bit of white head that quickly fades away. Low carbonation and no lacing at all. The nose is lovely - intense oaky character with a little bit of white grape, rustic maltiness and a little bit of funkiness. A lovely vineous oakiness and a lingering tartness. Mild acetic notes that accentuate the sweet fruity notes in the beer. There is also a little bit of white pepper and some mild fruity notes. Warming really intensifies the bright fruitiness. It’s quite delicious.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier
Hazy dark amber color with red shades; small frothy head. It has the usual BFM funky aroma, with just a higher fruity accent, and some cask tone too; light sweat, deep. Good body strength, strong BFM funky flavor, with some acetone (maybe too much), moderate sweetness (more than usual), nice and delicate grape fruitiness (muscat like).
Excellent beer.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas.

The beer appears fairly hazy and auburn colored with only a faint trace of head that dissipates hastily. The aroma brings acetic and lactic funk, sourness, cherries, oak. A terrific smelling beer. The flavor is both tart and sour, with a lovely balance of oak, fruit, wine. A nice tannic, vinous chcracter throughout. Alcohol presence is there but well hidden. Carbonation is light with an acetic yet smooth feel on the palate. An elegant beer. I would happily have this again.
