Bottle 37,5cl kindly shared by Calisky, a red beer with head head that goes quickly. Nose is nice on tart, oak, red fruit and lactic notes. Aroma is on vinegar, red wine / pinot noir notes, brett, oak, tart, burnt cherries, wet wood, bit less complex than expected. Still a nice one.

Calisky (1112) - ALSACE, FRANCE - DEC 12, 2014
Couleur brune/pourpre trouble, mousse qui disparait. Nez fort, vieux bois humide, aigre et vinaigré, note balsamique, légèrement fruits rouges, vineux et chêne, bien complexe. J’adore. Gout fruits rouges aigrelets, cerises, on sent beaucoup le coté vineux rosé des barriques, notes d’allumette brulée, un peu tannique, pas trop complexe mais fort et peu commun. Bon corps, bien rond en bouche. J’adore! je ne regrette pas cette commande de la Capsule a Nancy. En plus on ne remarque à aucun moment les 11c° d’alcool.

Haand 2014. Dark brown colour with no head. Aroma is red wine, souness, wood, alcohol, wood, caramel. Flavour is red wine, sourness, alcohol, caramel, wood, spices, vanilla. full body. Very nice beer.

Sample at Haand Festival 2014. Orange body, red tinted, no head. Strong oak aroma with apples, red berries, funk, clove. Taste is acidic, again strong oak, red wine and tart fruit, with a lightly balancing sweet vanilla taste. Very exciting, though I think I prefer the regular version myself.

Pours a nice shade of deep red with a few shades of brown mixed in. The liquid is moderately cloudy, and better bottle handling could probably make for even greater clarity. Small head, a slightly browned white. It’s just a dissipating film of bubbles after a minute. Little to no lacing. The aroma is fruity with gentle acetic acid. This is essentially a complex Flanders red with restrained acidity and an excellent barrel character. Vanilla and oak from the barrel. Lots of berries, grapes, peaches, cherries, nectarines, limes, tangerines. It’s all sweet and somewhat perfumey. Mild funk. Starts with gentle acidty and lots of that sweet fruitiness. Dries out in the finish as the acidity builds. Mild lactic note. Moderate pucker. It goes from light to medium sourness. Never overbearing. Incredibly well hidden alcohol. Trying it blind, I’d probably guess 6-8% abv. Fairly low carbonation. The flavors really come out as the beer warms. Delicious stuff. This series is underrated.

Copper, quite clear, no head. Smell of oak, berries, funk, quite complex. Moderate sweet, more oak, wine flavors, moderate amounts of wine acifs, quite tart. Light bitter finish. Nice edition; still i have to say the normal Bon-Chien had the edge and was a bit better

On bottle at Haand 14 festival. Low carbonation- almost flat. Aromas of autumn leaves, berries. Good sourness- and balance. Enjoyable

Dark brown still body with no head. Pretty strong aroma that is very sweet and mild acetic. Wild yeast, fermented red berries and hints of vinegar. Rather strong flavour of fermented red berries, mild vinegar and caramel. Moderate sweet taste and light acetic. Full body, oily texture, light dry finish and no carbonation whatsoever. Pretty good, but I would have been better with carbonation.
