4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice shade of deep red with a few shades of brown mixed in. The liquid is moderately cloudy, and better bottle handling could probably make for even greater clarity. Small head, a slightly browned white. It’s just a dissipating film of bubbles after a minute. Little to no lacing. The aroma is fruity with gentle acetic acid. This is essentially a complex Flanders red with restrained acidity and an excellent barrel character. Vanilla and oak from the barrel. Lots of berries, grapes, peaches, cherries, nectarines, limes, tangerines. It’s all sweet and somewhat perfumey. Mild funk. Starts with gentle acidty and lots of that sweet fruitiness. Dries out in the finish as the acidity builds. Mild lactic note. Moderate pucker. It goes from light to medium sourness. Never overbearing. Incredibly well hidden alcohol. Trying it blind, I’d probably guess 6-8% abv. Fairly low carbonation. The flavors really come out as the beer warms. Delicious stuff. This series is underrated.

Sample at Haand 2014
Copper, quite clear, no head. Smell of oak, berries, funk, quite complex. Moderate sweet, more oak, wine flavors, moderate amounts of wine acifs, quite tart. Light bitter finish. Nice edition; still i have to say the normal Bon-Chien had the edge and was a bit better

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown still body with no head. Pretty strong aroma that is very sweet and mild acetic. Wild yeast, fermented red berries and hints of vinegar. Rather strong flavour of fermented red berries, mild vinegar and caramel. Moderate sweet taste and light acetic. Full body, oily texture, light dry finish and no carbonation whatsoever. Pretty good, but I would have been better with carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas are a funky murky basement, dried fruit, vinous acidity and earthy compost. The palate is focused and complex... with a softer more fruit heavy flavors. Nice ripe cherry, cranberry, apple cider, earthy oak spice and traces of vanilla round out the back end

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught Very good, fine & dense, yellowish head over red-amber, hazy beer. Fruity, red fruits & alcohol, vinous, sharp strawberry aromas. Very sour and very fruity, excessive acidity including acetic acid. Acidburn˛ , medium bodied at least, txs to the organic acids. Too young, too much acid, definitely not what it ought to be. But it was available already.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a deep reddish color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of oak and tart cherry notes with some very nice vinous notes. Taste is also dominated by oak notes with tart cherry notes with some vinous notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and surprisingly no apparent alcohol. Very complex notes with great drinkability but not sure I can really detect the different barrels.
