330ml flip top bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish amber with no head. Aroma and Taste of sweet malt, Belgian yeast, very fruity, some plums and raisins, slightly sour tart flavor. Palate is a medium body, light carbonation, mildly tart flavor. Finishes with Belgian yeast, fruity, plums and raisins, ending I’d mildly sweet tart and fruity. Overall a good drinking Belgian brew.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2013 Bottle pours syrupy cloudy amber with quickly dissipating tan head. Farmhouse, funk, cherries, nuts, tangerine. Moderately sweet and sour. Lightly bitter. Full body is a bit syrupy and smooth. Very good.

Looks and smells like apple cider. Should be served slightly warm. Taste is slightly tart with a metallic sharpness. Quite drinkable and refreshing but not too interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

IPA? I don’t think so. The aroma is definitely funky and this has no head or carbonation. The flavor is bit sour and funky bit just not that good.

Pours a hazy cider brown with no visible carbonation.... A few big whiffs and Im getting earthy, sour cider, twig tea, cherry and a touch of lemon citrus. On the palate the journey continues with flavors of sour cherries, lemongrass, tart fruit, bitter earth and sweet malts really funk up the finish. Pretty great beer to sit and sip.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small head. Sweet and fruity aroma with a hint of tartness. Flavor is slightly tart with fruity citrus flavors. Lacks the hop bitterness I associate with IPAs. Very metallic finish.

2007 version - not an IPA; described as a Rousse de garde. Pours slightly hazed deep dark gold into a snifter. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to nothing. Sour summer fruit aromas. Sweet caramel upfront yields to sour pit and summer fruits before the dry, lasting bitter resin finish.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 Huge vinous flavors with complex fruit, caramel-toffee, sour yeast and earthy subtleties. Again, a bit too much acetic acid, but I like it in this style of funky-fruit driven beer thing. Bottles have a high risk of oxidation, which will ruin the experience.

Bottle. Clear orange copper pour - I got the first glass off the top ;) - with pillowy white head. Aroma is pretty well dominated by lightly funky yeast notes, some peppery hops, the beer smells quite grainy as well. Barely any hop bitterness to speak of in the taste, tastes more like french biere de garde that is beginning to sour. I was actually surprised that this wasn’t any more sour than it was, we had the 2007 vintage. Palate is this beers strong point, perfectly well carbed and dry. Good beer but not mind blowing, unlike its price.

Pour is hazy orange with white head, aroma has notes of some weird cooked veggie, maybe some cherry, some sour cabbage and fruit, some slight bready sourness to it as well. Taste is definitely better but still has notes of some weird cooked fruit, definitely an untintentional sour with some plastic, phenolic tastes. Off for sure, but could tell it could be ok in 2006.
