I think this beer looks better than it actually tastes. The color is light reddish brown with a cream colored head. The taste is a tad tart with some definitive herbal flavors. for the true connoisseur

MoDog (927) - Griffith, Indiana, USA - MAY 11, 2009
11.2oz swing-top bottle, served in a shaker. This poured a hazy burnt orange hue with a thin, short-lived beige head. A small amount of lace was left around the glass. The aroma contained strong grapefruit, oranges, sour lemon, and also some heavy, sugary caramel. The flavor was bitter and somewhat sour. Bitter oranges along with sour lemon candy. Some caramel lurking underneth the sourness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had a light to moderate amount of fairly aggressive carbonation. The flavors on display here didn’t really mesh well.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Cloudy orange appearance with an off white head that disappears quickly. Dull, citrusy, white wine, dental floss nose. Mildly tart, sour, cherry, citrusy, dull hoppy flavor with some weird plastic fruit notes.

arminjewell (3107) - Parker, Colorado, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Pour is hazy orange with white head, aroma has notes of some weird cooked veggie, maybe some cherry, some sour cabbage and fruit, some slight bready sourness to it as well. Taste is definitely better but still has notes of some weird cooked fruit, definitely an untintentional sour with some plastic, phenolic tastes. Off for sure, but could tell it could be ok in 2006.

2006 vintage 750 ml bottle poured cold. One of the most over-carbonated beers I have ever seen. I will have lost more than half of the volume before all is said and done. The bottle is currently sitting in the sink less than half full of liquid and yet it is still erupting like a volcano. Totally ridiculous. Murky brown orange body with many, many floaties. Huge fizzy light tan head. The aroma is Herby orange peel aroma. Pretty non-exciting. The flavor is none too good. Acrid burnt coriander wrapped in alcohol and very bitter, but not in a good way. The palate as expected is WAY TOO FIZZY. Undrinkable. This beer holds the distinction of my most expensive drain pour. What a waste.
