Pours a dark amber/ orange color with thick yellowish head and big chunks of yeast floating around. Very fruity citrus aroma with hints of chocolate and alcohol. Surprisingly tart/ sour citrus fruit taste consisting of lemon and orange peel. Slightly bitter finish.

Pours murky amber with a large white head. Sour, cedar-ish aroma with light chocolate and even lighter yeast spiciness. A touch of funk. Definite sourness and brett in the flavor, which flirts with stone fruit and lemongrass before a tart, supremely unexpected finish. Cocoa all but nonexistent. A light bitterness on the end seems out of place, but I think I like this one.

How is it possible? There were 2cm of brown scum under the cap, looking like tapenade. The carbonation is controlled, slowly some foam starts arising from the neck. It pours a cloudy red to dark amber color, the head, creamy, is thin but persistent. Aroma of caramel, light yeast and very light vegetables (carob). It has a good body, with a very good caramel and malt flavor, darker sugars too mix with the hop to create a strong bitterness; dark chocolate and very light liquorice too, with a touch of yeast. Quite Belgian character. Very well brewed, and excellent to drink.

Hazy orange-amber color. The aroma is malty, sour and woody. Good body strength, some dry malt flavor, woody astringency. Good bitterness level. Strange…

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Bov. Pours basically clear with a handsome, off-white head leaving a neat lacework. Lightly tart aroma with a whiff of Brett. Medium body, a little low in carbonation. Some fruity notes and a somewhat astringent, herbal touch with a quinine-like bitterness. There’s a vague, underlying acidity. Interesting. 021107

Bottle from SL. The pour was amber, hazy to cloudy, little bit of sediment at the bottom, generous head, although not too hard to work with. Retention was ok, lacing ok too. The aroma was funky apples, caramel, light spices. The flavor was much the same, fruity acidity to it, though, some citrus notes, a touch of brown sugar. Mouthfeel was acidic, somewhat light going down, although felt plenty "full" in the sense of having grainy particles to it or something. An ok beer, didn’t work great for me.

From bottle, blind tasting at Papsoes - beer no 9. Pours clear and golden orange to light brown. Huge off-white head. Slight acidic and malty aroma. No carbonation. Soft malty with a acidic note and a bit of liqourice. Ends with a bit of herbal and bitterness.

I shoke the bottle up a lot, so it poured an ugly, muddy brown. Nose of spiced pumpkin bread and brett, lightly acidic as well, with some old banana and pineapple yeast esters noted. Flavor is lightly acidic and biting, bretty, with flavors of brown sugar, some banana notes and then a faint hint of the cocoa powder. Interesting.
