dornoy (636), Lyngby, Denmark Mar 31, 2007 Huge head (the foam sprouted off the bottle when I opened it) on an amber body. Bitter, too bitter at firsct, then quite drinkable. There must be vinegar there. Weird, I won’t make it my regular beer.
thebeertourist (1889), Oslo, Norway Feb 19, 2008 Bottle.Hazy amber with a small head. Orange zest aroma. Nice fruity flavours, orange zest dominating, ending reasonably bitterish. Well-carbonated, medium body. Not bad. Far cry from an altbier, more like a Belgian blond ale. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 4, 2008 Cloudy dull orange pour. Limited off-white head. Timid peach/orange fruitiness dominates fading herbal hoppiness. Not very aromatic. Comfortable, smooth palate with fresh and vigorous carbonation. Faintly bready, not toasty. Refreshing, but at the bottom, nothing more than an easy-drinking amber ale at the price of being a bit dull. Round though. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge off white and dense head. Slight fruity to mild spiced aroma. Flavour is slight citric and ginger spiced. With a further mild spiced note. Finish is sweet with with a mild acidity. Quite nice yet not easy to place stylewise. faroeviking (4414), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Dec 9, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orangecolour. Aaroma of some yeast and sourness, bit mouldy with caramel. Very lively mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and yeasty with some citrus, bits of fruit grass and slight ginger. Takk fyri Jaspur (yespr). Grovlam (3201), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 7, 2007 Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Huge thick off-white head that really lasted. Excellent lacework. Clear sparkling body with a golden color. Aroma of citrus, grain, caramel, yeast. Some strange notes of what I thought was ginger. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation and light dry texture. Mix of flavours with light notes of sweet, acidic and bitter notes. Light bitter finish.
