UPDATED: FEB 7, 2006 pours a hazy orange colour under a little unregular but stable beige foam; nice lace; charming spicy aroma (sage comes to mind but only since I know this to be used :-)), some fruity notes in the background (old apples and pineapple); some tartness due to the high carbonation, a solid bitterness (nice to see it back withoutthe unpleasant sourness which caused some sorrows to the brewer and his fans some years ago); long bitter spicy and herbal finish - it has been more than 5 years since I have not drink this beer and take some notes and I am glad to see it back at its top

A lightly soured blonde ale apparently flavoured with sage, but I didn’t really pick that up. Strangely this brewery is in Switzerland not Belgium as I first thought.

3/V/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Klaas’ place - BB: II/12 (2012-463) Thanks to Bene for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy beige beer, small off-white head, dissipates immediately. Aroma: lots of smelly cheese, smelly feet, some citrus, overripe fruits, peppery. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: rotten fruits, citrus, pretty sour, infected like, some grapefruit, band-aid. Aftertaste: little bitter, sour touch, rotten fruits, cheesy, very unpleasant and bitter ending. WTH is this...?

33cl bottle... Pours a cloudy golden light yellow with a big frothy head that laces down the glass. Aromas are bright with a sour funkiness with hints of lavender and citrus. On with the taste... Mmmm flavors start with a nice sour fruity tartness then leads into a balanced bitterness, opening the gates for a bready roundness that finishes off nicely falling into a bit of peppery herbaceous ending !

Bottle shared by a friend at the Hopsnobbery Collective’s first (and last) Crappy Beer Tasting on 2/29/12. I had never had this brew (and neither had the individual who brought it) and after sampling I found myself incredibly offended that this beer would be brought to such an event. Pours clear with a thin white head. Malty nose with some citrus, tartness and herbs. Malty and bretty flavor with sage before a funky finish. Not bad at all, and certainly nowhere near worthy of the title of worst beer ever.

Cloudy straw with white clumps and a thin white head. Soft medium body with medium carbonation.

Aroma: bright sourness, sweet pilsner malt, and just a hint of sage. Has a definite honey and lemon character to it.

Taste: citrusy tartness, moderate lambic character, pilsner malt, and minty sage.

Very nice, refreshing, and complex. Sour enough to be thirst quenching, yet still sessional. A great beer that i was not expecting.

Dry honey malt, fresh herbal aromas and flavors, laced with beautifully dry, vinous sour fruit flavors. This redefines what beer can be.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a slight head. Spicy aroma of pepper and yeast. The flavor is surprisingly sour - Belgian-like yeast, and a bit of pepper. The sage is muted, but does come through in the finish, which is somewhat earthy. Slightly astringent mouthfeel. Unique and interesting, though nothing too amazing.
