frylock (952), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pale golden color with a small white head. Interesting aroma that has notes of pears, white grapes, and sage. Tart flavors of lemons and sweet-tarts candies. A light hop presence and some herbal qualities come through in the finish. Interesting and not too bad.
JohnnyJ (679), Reno, Nevada, USA Oct 9, 2008 On tap at stone. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with fizzy white head. Flavors of wheat, lemon zest, funk, honey, and hints of sage. This beer is herbal and a little sour. It is mmeeehh.... alright. I certainly wouldnt want to drink a large amount of it. Suttree (2355), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 22, 2008 Very cloudy dark gold, thin head. Wonderful spicy aroma, notes of citrus, especially lemon, and other juicy, winey notes. Nice herbal flavor, with the sage (or "the herb sage", as it says on the label.) being very noticeable mixed with white wine and citrus. Very enjoyable stuff. Bragesnak (1355), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Taster at DØ meeting, Aarhus Syd.
Bottled, 170908.
Golden with nice head. Aroma and flavor is sour with notes of grape fruit and pineapple. Saisson?. rcweir (100), Massachusetts, USA Aug 7, 2008 Poured from 33cl flip-cap, highly carbonated, cloudy golden yellow with floating rice grain sized chunks. Good head. Aroma is funky/sour. Flavor is even more funky. Seems more like a saiison than a blonde. A bad bottle? Allen (644), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Aug 5, 2008 Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy honey colored beer with a white head. Extremely interesting nose - soy sauce, sage and lemon showing up, accompanied by a huge amount of "le parfait".... Notes of pineapple and quinces in the flavor. Interesting - some sour, herbal components appearing which are accompanied by quite a lot of ginger and juniper berries. Light bodied. Nicely spicy. The bitterness only shows up in the finish. Poor lacework. The taste is better than the nose. Interesting.
