330ml swing-top bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, Tromsø. Fair, fawn-coloured head with satisfying retention to an unclear, dark-brown coloured body. Fragile lacing. Aromas of wood and roasted caramel malts. Rather comprehensive taste character of dark plums, herbs, dark honey, and caramel offset by a roasted bittersweet finish. Fine bodied. Likable (at home 08.06.2014).

Bue à la pression. Belle brune très intéressante. Explosion de saveurs en bouche. Bière douce avec très peu d'acidité mais ronde et corpulente en même temps. Good !

Clear, medium brown body with a small, light tan head. Pretty faint aroma with a bit more punch in the flavour. Caramel, fruits, herbs and flowers. Crisp mouthfeel, mid-bodied.

Aroma: caramel, gingerbread, butter; Appearance: pale, amber, cloudy, minimal head; Taste: slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly sour; Palate: medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish Nothing special. Alex Porter from the same brewery is much better. I drink Paulaner Salvator when I want to get the same bockish taste but without this much butter :-)

Dark brown body. Interesting aroma mixing cookie malts, wholewheat grains, and roasted notes with dried fig like sweetness and some balancing resin and woody hops. Taste is different than your usual Belgian brown ale too, with a drier and more cookie like taste. Over the length of the bottle you get a bit used to this so it looses some appeal, yet still there is a herbal bitterness to keep it all in pace and enjoyable. Good brew, charismatic and nicely spiced. (33cl bottle gifted by the Au Bon Coin owner, many thanks!)

Bottle from AndrewC who picked this up in or near Verbier and I drank at home. Very dark brown colour lasting beige head. Some esters on aroma, some dark brown malty aroma. Quite fruity in the mouth, like plums and figs. Decent Belgian Ale. Pretty authentic. Nice enough. Some peppery hop on the finish. OK.

Bottle. Thanks to fiulijn. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy dusty aroma with weak sour hints. Fruity malty slightly sour spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity spicy sour caramel finish.
