COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Marciero. 7.5% A fruity & spicy brown ale from Switzerland. Served in a fluted glass(800 yen) a dark ruby brown pour with just a wisp of a beige film. Med-thin bodied with a smooth satisfying mouthfeel. The aroma is a bit tart, malty fudge & light cinnamon. It’s got a rich malty smooth body with some figs, milk chocolate, some cinnamon and a slight tart edge. Very very nice, easy drinking beer! As it warms up it keeps getting better & better giving me some breadiness plus a deeper fudge like chocolate. I am digging this quite a bit.

Tap at Marciero. Dark brown with some orange, lace. Spicy chocolate nose, caramel. Rich chocolate malt flavor, caramel, stone fruit, cinnamon and other spices. Good chewy malt, though rather light in body. Good.

Brune foncée, très voilée... Petite mousse beige claire, peu persistante.

Drank from a bottle. The beer has a strong, sweet taste with earthy flavours. The head is a weird.

Sehr interessantes Bier!! 12/13/12/12

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 330ml bottle poured in a small BFM snifter glass. Enjoyed at "La Ferme du Chateau", Lausanne region. A: Pours a dark amber to brown cloudy color. Forms a medium creamy white bit yellow head. Retention is low and some lacings are formed and left in the glass. A lot of sediment can be seen floating around S: BFM trademark. Spicy and tart in the nose. Quite vinous too. Also caramel, caramel malts and yeasts. Notes of fruits like apples and grapes T: Taste is also spicy and tart. Vinegar. Fruits. Caramel malts and yeasts. Very light earthy bitterness. In overall an acid and dry beer. Very taste, nevertheless M: Medium body and low carbonation. Tart and mild bitter aftertaste O: Not an easy beer and quite tart for the style but, quite drinkable anyway. BFM expected quality. Recommended [ BA Review @ 4/1/2012 ]

Medium beige head. Hazy dark red body with lots of floaties. Earthy fruity herbal aroma with Christmas spice and chocolate notes. Sweetish lavender, cardamom and other Christmas spice taste with fruity roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Lumpy mouthfeel, unfortunately. Some butter, too. Dryish spicy fruity aftertaste with dusty syrupy rye crisp bread notes. Nice, drinkable, but a bit marred by the floaties. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Oslo City.)

Bottle at Crossroad, march 11th 2014. Amber body with a creamy beige head. Spicy aroma with dark fruit and something that resembles mashed peas, which I’m not the biggest fan of in a beer. Taste of caramel, cinnamon, and again mashed peas, adding cabbage, lasting long into the aftertaste. First beer in probably thousand I couldn’t finish due to the taste :/ Hopefully unlucky with my bottle, because I really love BFMs beers. So I’ll make sure to give it a new chance.
