Bottle, bought @ Bierkompass.de.
Fairly muddy brown with a firm, frothy, off-white head. Long duration. Aroma is powerful. Lots of cinnamon and spices on top of tartish fruit. Lots of plums and raisins. High carbonation, fairly dryish and slightly thin mouthfeel. Flavour has some clear tartness, very fruity, lots of plums. Fantastic dry, lingering finish. If only the beer only had the aftertaste :o)

Draft at Churchkey. Very unique beer and one which I really enjoyed. Muddy caramel colored pour, almost completely opaque. Light tan head. Very fruity aroma. Good fresh plum aroma with woody notes. Cinnamon is noticeable. Very dry, funky beer. Woody, slight tannic plum dominates at first. A little bit tart. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The cinnamon and clove make and appearance at the end.

(Old BA rate - bottle) Pours with a nice finger of eggshell colored head that doesn’t hang around for very long; light hazy brown hue. Very vinous in the nose; red grapes; light malt sweetness; some sour fruitiness; medicinal and earthy notes. Flavor is a little less sour than suggested in the nose; only a faint touch of fruit sweetness; some sourness and acidity; has some spice to it as well. Lighter body with bubbly carbonation. Interesting enough drinking, and one of the better offerings from BFM’s more regular lineup.

swing top bottle (330ml). -Trade with Allen (thanks Julian!) Murky brown coloured, small off-white head that went away fast, spicy nose with hint of plums. Acidic and spicy with obvious presence of plums and touch of caramel. Mild spicy finish and aftertaste. Interesting and not so offensive like La Meule was.
