Was not expecting a lovely little sour when I saw the Tarry Suchong on the label. Mild smoke/tea on the nose with a light brown/amber appearance. Sour forward taste with a hint of the earthy tea following. Nice.

Hazy amber, small white head. Strong malt base, caramel, sweet. On top of that, light smoked tea taste. Pleasing but not radical.

Ein «Cuvée unique» ohne Namen, gebraut am 12. März 2008. Zutaten: Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Rauchmalz, Hopfen, Zucker, Rauchtee, Hefe.

From a bottle. Thanks jheath99! Pours hazy copper with a bubbly off white head. Smells like musky grapes, raisins, light earth, and smokey wood. Tastes like light raisin, earth, grapes, and smoke.

As BATS at St Bock in Montreal. A hazed dark amber ale with a thin mocha head, lacing. In aroma, sweet oxidized caramel malt with light sour notes, tea, organic matter, nice. In mouth, a sweet and sourish malt with light tea, light licorice, interesting. On tap at St-Bock.

Pours a rusty amber color with some haze and a finger of eggshell foam. Nice complexity of light handed smoked malts, tannic earthy tea, apple cider, rustic grain and a lingering bitter finish. Nice balance of components !

Bottle, shared at RBAG 2014, I believe by Derek. Orange amber body, low head. Smoky tannic tea character, lean malts, light caramel. Interesting.
