On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy copper with a beautiful, lavkng yellowish head. Nice orangey hoppy aroma, slightly tart. Fruity flavours, some sourness, quite dry and bitter. Delicious.

Bottle: Poured a light clear brown color bock with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of tart and hoppy notes with quite strong floral coffee aromas. Taste is unique mixes of tart notes mix in with dry hoppy notes with some floral coffee notes with light dry bitterness. Body is light with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very unique mix of flavours but not sure I would feel the need to drink this again.

(Draught) cloudy copper/ruby, no real head. Nose of tart cherry, cellar floor, very light moss, rose water, bits of honey and sweet citrus peel. Mostly a tart beer but super complex.

Another brew on someone else’s expense account. I can’t tell if everything BFM brews is a tongue in cheek sour or what? This was a sour beer not a Weizen Bock. I can only assume it was unintentional. Pours medium amber with nice white head. Sour grapes and fruit on the nose. Nice flavor balance of sour and sweet. Live. Draft - Porter Beer Bar - Atlanta, GA

750ml bottle. Murky dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity and minimally herbal hoppy aroma, hints of berries, old red apple and peach. Taste is fruity, minimally wheaty, hints of yellow stone fruit, mirabelle and the like, subtle sweetness, a minimal tart touch, bitter and slightly herbal hoppy overtones; dry finish with a touch of coffee, fine pored carbonation. Relatively light and hoppy, neither overly wheaty nor creamy.

Good and interesting. Aroma of malts, sour fruit and yeast. It had a nice clear amber color with strong lacing from the creamy head. Watery palate with a slight puckering and dry finish. This was unlike any Weizen Bock I’ve had. It was more like a soft sour and more wine like. Fruity esters and soft maltiness. Little to no hops presence. I did not detect the coffee. Alcohol hidden well. Glad for the chance to try it.

Again with the coffee added to something other than a stout. Have to say I am a fan of this trend, though there is nothing wrong with a good coffee stout. Thick, textured head above hazy copper. The coffee is quite subtle. Also subtle sweet and sour fruits, grain and earthiness.

Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atl Hwy). Fruit juice nose: apple and light orange, Sauvin too, and overall a bit wine-like. Hazy light copper color. Very fruity initial: stewed and fermenting apples and pears / some wheaty notes and the tiniest bit of coffee in mid / light bittering in finish and then it gets sweet again. Interesting beer. The coffee, which is not very strong, and the Nelson Sauvin combine in a unique way. Never really tasted anything quite like it.

Ooohhh, good! A sour!!! Opaque brandy colour. Small white ring head. Sour aroma that’s oh, so nice. Flavor is dense and like oak. Thick on the palate and a little dense going down. Nice aroma. Too bad Swiss. And this is anything but a weizenbock. Its way too sour.
