joeryan (7), France does not count Apr 22, 2007 Although this beer originated in Chartres, it is no longer brewed there. However, it is supposed to used local grain. I much prefer Eurelienne which, at least, is brewed in the Eure et Loir. MrFacto (1027), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Sep 28, 2006 Thanks to Mom for bringing me this back from France. Pours a clear dark golden yellow. Just darker than an MGD. Quickly dissapating white head with a suprisingly refreshing aroma. Lemon, a good hop prescense. Flavor is sweet, more lemon very malty. Like lemon drops mixed with beer. Quite tasty. rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 21, 2004 Bottle brought back from France by my parents. Slight lemon, hops, light malt. This is vaguely saison-ish. Corriander. Sweetish up front quickly followed by a wheaty hop thing. Some earthy orange, lemon yeast finish. maupie (540), Roosendaal, Netherlands Sep 7, 2004 This beer has a golden body - hue apperance and a white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor tast was sweet / mild bitter.
