Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 1, 2004 An orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet yeasty. But the flavor is not good - it is a very weird fruit flavor. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 27, 2005 Updated: Sep 12, 2005Bottled. Hazy golden, brief head. Aroma of toffee and paper. Medium bodied with rather lively mouthfeels. Grassy hops along with herbal spices and a lot of orange peels make up most of the flavour. Salty finish. A well balanced, typical north French ale. Papsoe (10267), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 2, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Pretty, golden, slightly hazy with a decent head. Very full-bodied with a fruity sweetness and a distinct alcohol glow. Lightly perfumy with a hoppy finish. 261201 Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 6, 2001 Updated: Jul 1, 2007Soft, creamy, fruity
(peach), and lots of subtle flowery hop (roses?). Beautifully balanced and very elegant. This is a
very aromatic beer - flowery, fruity, with some malt towards the end. Reminds me a bit of Veuve Cliquot.
Re-rate: Perfumey, peachy, appley aroma with biscuity malts. Light malt underpins pearlike fruity notes. The yeasty toastiness is not here this bottle (it is not bottle-conditioned). Alcoholic note late. Not as complex nor as flavourful as I remember. Still good, but no longer great (this corresponds with a bottle I had a couple years ago but did not re-rate). yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 12, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a lacing white head. Light spiced malty aroma. Flavour is light malty with a spice note. Ends with a light fruity note.
