kepano (239), Meudon, France Jan 19, 2006 Updated: Sep 30, 2006 The Demon’s beer? According to the label it had some potential, but in reality it truly is a Hell-born evil. The body is of that clear pale orangish yellow reminding of the bodily fluid. At least it gets a point for the foamy white head that seems to be an exception among lagers of its caliber. The nose reminded me that I should really have done my research on this one. Strong cloying alcohol syrupiness emerges with a blend of manure, wet straw and urine. Some salty sausage appears and wheat, orange and honey form the better aromas, and believe me I really tried to focus on those. The flavor is completely dominated by the strong alcohol content. A sweet syrupy flavor is also apparent, and with some effort corn and orange. Somehow the alcohol becomes even more prominent as the beer warms especially in the aggressive and metallic aftertaste. Not very good, but not too skunky and will get you buzzed real quick if that’s what you’re looking for...
DeanF (72), Paris, France Jun 30, 2009 Aroma of alcohol and grains, taste of alcohol and more alcohol. Decent head though. Way too alcoholic; sure it’s marketed as that, but this isn’t the way to do it. emotv (305), Izmir, Turkey Jun 27, 2009 Tasted at Italy. Very strong beer. Alchole hits first then some malty taste but not too much. Most alchole is covering the aromas... DougShoemaker (2830), Toronto, Canada May 19, 2009 Alcohol nose hit, malt and apples, straw yellow, pours a small tight white head. Tastes very boozy, malt, reminds me of Belzebuth. Full bodied, borders on harsh, but hey it’s a French pounder-backer! Ordinaire. Bloekie (74), Belgium Apr 3, 2009 (33 cl bottle at Ambleteuse, France) The bottle says it’s the "Strongest blonde beer in the world". Well, it might just be. The aroma and palate are all dominated by the extra-amount of alcohol. Overall not my favourite kind of beer, but I would drink it again, it’s not even that bad when you compare to the average Pilsner they have in some places. zakkbironia (57), Athens, Greece Apr 2, 2009 You don’t drink this one to enjoy. So much alcohol and no real taste. Better get some whiskey cause this one does not give you the beer pleasure. Pipper (113), Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2009 Straight from the bottle, definitely doesn’t warrant a pour. Sure it’s got a 12% ABV but that’s about the only taste. Wouldn’t drink another. JMFG (1452), Florida, USA Feb 1, 2009 Courtesy Redlight. Clear straw color, light white broken head. Aroma of musty wet grain and alcohol. Slightly hot skunky taste that doesn’t agree with the lager beneath. Pinball (2068), Allerød, Denmark Jan 30, 2009 bottle, from el corte ingles, mallorca.
pours clear golden with a small white head. looks innocent.
aroma is sligt malts, some sweetness, some corn, usual macro stuff. no way this one has a 12%alc aroma. alc. totally hidden in aroma. i let it heat up and then came some strong beer aroma.
flavor is quite strong, you might cough when you drink it. alc. alc. sweetness from corn. more alc. finishes burning. will get you drunk, but doesn’t taste good.
