kepano (239), Meudon, France Jan 19, 2006 Updated: Sep 30, 2006 The Demon’s beer? According to the label it had some potential, but in reality it truly is a Hell-born evil. The body is of that clear pale orangish yellow reminding of the bodily fluid. At least it gets a point for the foamy white head that seems to be an exception among lagers of its caliber. The nose reminded me that I should really have done my research on this one. Strong cloying alcohol syrupiness emerges with a blend of manure, wet straw and urine. Some salty sausage appears and wheat, orange and honey form the better aromas, and believe me I really tried to focus on those. The flavor is completely dominated by the strong alcohol content. A sweet syrupy flavor is also apparent, and with some effort corn and orange. Somehow the alcohol becomes even more prominent as the beer warms especially in the aggressive and metallic aftertaste. Not very good, but not too skunky and will get you buzzed real quick if that’s what you’re looking for...

Good lord! This beer was serious struggle to drink. Probably doesn’t help it wasn’t too cold to begin with on a scorching Italian summers day, but woah! I had to take a deep breath between each sip!
Fusel alcohols aplenty. Tastes like copper. Should really go for something other than the strongest thing in the fridge for a change! heavy (815), Split, Croatia Oct 26, 2009 0.33 l bottle from a Casino store in Monaco. It poured golden body with smaller to medium head. Slightly lemony aroma, some flowery malts, weak anyway, without alcohol presence. Flavor is honey malty, slightly sugary, somewhat lemony as well with some alcohol of course but not too much for the style, and for such high ABV. Not overly carbonated, pleasant on palate. Sweetish and warming finish. Alcohol is really well hidden in this brew, what surely gives it a big plus, it’s fine enough, not overly sweet and really drinkable. Simple, but very good for the style. jaymobrown (1343), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 24, 2009 Didn’t think this was too bad. Golden light. Smells of wheat and sugar. Light and crisp taste. Fizzy. Some yeast, bitter and lemon peel in the end. Parket (219), Bruges, Belgium Oct 18, 2009 bottle shared with wimpie133, golden colour with very nice white head. Smell: like an awesome wodka (I’m sure it was because of the alcohol) and very stinking rubber. Taste: alcohol, alcohol, alcohol with a little grainy touch in the aftertaste. This is a wodka with bubbles. I wasn’t able to drink the whole bottle because it is so bad! wimpie133 (130), Brugge, Belgium Oct 18, 2009 Bottle, 33 cl shared with a friend. The presentation starts good: golden, light bubbles, a beautiful white medium, lacing head. But only smelling the beer turns down the expectations: a rubbery, dusty, skunky smell. The taste is just a heavy beer to be heavy, without any subtlety. The taste is alcohol and sweet. Somehowq like a tuned-up Heineken, or the terrible Jupiler Tauro which I don’t mean positive at all! KyotoLefty (1371), Kyoto, Japan Oct 3, 2009 Medium blonde color with a small head. Aroma of malt and yeast, smells strong already. Not particularly inviting aroma. Sweet flavor with lots of alcohol. Very hot on the tongue and back of throat. Slight fruity flavor as well, raisins, figs, cookies. Hot alcohol and malt finish. Ok, but like many of its type, a bit too much and lacking subtlety. zonmei (7), Bamberg, Germany does not count Sep 27, 2009 Not overly strong taste for a 12% beer. Sweet, light, session beer. Very nice for a walk through Venice. mixos (50), Greece Sep 9, 2009 When at first heard that name i was sure that is going to be something really nice. What a dissapointment ... Sweet and alcoholic... and then more sweet and more alcoholic ... What a pity ... nothing of diabolic pleasure as the commercial description says ...
