Draught on the corner in Hanoi. Pours yellow with white foam. Slight aroma, slightly sour taste, goes down cold and tasty. At 6 * 12oz = $1, hard to beat.

Oct 27, 2009 Very pale. Light head. The aroma is grainy, lightly fruity. Watery, swilly, grainy taste. Pretty weak. Befits its price.

Oct 23, 2009 At bia hoi corner. Pale straw color with foamy head. Mild grainy aroma is thin and a tad skunky. Watery palate. Has some lactic taste. Is really not that bad, pretty smooth and light bodied. Had another place just off bia hoi corner, was much worse. Stinky beer with sweet-sour plastic ugly rotten banana and baby diaper aromas. Slimy palate with low carbo. Metallic, raunchy, sour tin foil skunky nasty bad beer. because I’m not positive it was the same bia hoi I rate separately 2-2-2-1-4.

Sep 26, 2009 Draught from a bia hoi joint in Hanoi. Pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma and flavour of grain, lemon and grass. Quite thin but still drinkable. Sweet finish. Not a lot of flavour but cheapest drinking in the city.

Mar 2, 2009 Draugh@street restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter.
Pale yellow color, creamy off-white head. Light malty, lemony hoppy aroma. Watery palate. Corn malty sweetish flavor, but has lots of more craft beer feeling than bottle VN beers. Aftertaste has light grassy hops with sweetcorn.

Nov 28, 2008 OK - Bia Hoi is ok again.... so I will reenter my rating. Draught from keg at a small junction-place in Hanoi. Clear golden - white head. High freshness, crispy, straw, hay, nice hoppy, grass. light bitterness. High drinkability. Cheap and Lovely.

May 26, 2008 Draught at nameless Bio Hoi joint in Hanoi. Clear pale golden, small fairly briefhead. Lightly grassy bready aroma. Medium sweet and light bodied. Low on cabonation. fairly soft and crisp. Some grassy hops leads to a light bitterness. Freshening and alive. A completely different story than canned or bottled Hanoi beer. Very quaffable.

Nov 12, 2006 Tap from Bia Hoi keg in Hanoi. Good color, must be cold. Nice little aftertaste which adds som complexity not often found in SE Asian beer.
