Pale with thin bubbly head. Light acetaldehyde aroma. Watery but relatively clearn with a vaguely malty signature. Low bitterness. A better rounded bia hoi.

Pale yellow with some random suds. Aroma is bland, straw, hay, watery. Thin watery palate and simple. Good balance, decent hop bitterness at the end makes it quite drinkable. Clean and well made. Tends to be a few hundred dongs more than the other bia hoi, taste reflects the slightly better quality too.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Draught at Nhà Hàng Lan Chín, 156 Trân Quang Khai, Hanoi. Clear pale golden, small creamy head. Vague salty ashy nose. Medium sweet and light bodied. Some vague stale resiny hoppiness, drier ashy finish. Low carbonation. Quaffable, but a bit edgy.
