Pours pale piss yellow with low white head. Aroma of light malt, hay and caramel. Taste is light malty and honey sweet with pretty much no bitterness. Average to lively carbonation, no body.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours clear medium yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is a bit malty, grainy, sour mash corn. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light and a bit watery, carbonation is soft. While not a particularly great beer it does go well with Vietnamese food!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle@Avalon Cafe Lounge, Hanoi, Vietnam. Golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is refreshingly dry and yeasty, and the flavour is also dry and yeasty. Overall a standard lager but pleasant given the environment I was in.

It is one of the best beer in Vietnam, and I usually don’t get headache of it, not like as for the fresh beer they have... which is not to bad either..

Insultingly bland and flavourless. This is like Bud Light Light. Oddly the most common beer on menus, and can be bought for as little as 12 pence a glass in Hui An, which doesn’t represent good value for money. At least the bad beers in Nepal tried (and sadly failed) to experiment with flavour.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Appearance: Pale straw yellow colour, thin white head, gone in 60 seconds!
Aroma: light breadiness, cooked corn, no hop aroma.
Flavour: bready profile, some sweetness present, no hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Sharp on the palate, light body, high carbonation, not much balance, ie. quite sweet and not much bitterness.
Overall: Not great lager by any means. Cheap as chips beer in a hot country but that’s about it....

Looks for all money light a golden lager with a light fluffy head, but is it real or is it a cardboard replica? It carries the genuine pale malt aroma but with just enough freshness on the nose to cast doubts as to whether it is brewed naturally or not. I’m undecided on this one so far. I would lean toward natural brewing by the flavour of malt (and little else) but all in all, on the dark side of boring. Probably best enjoyed ice cold in humid weather.
