Can from a Ho Chi Minh Circle K. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is dry lager malt, cardboard, mineral. The flavour is light to moderate bitter with a dry mineral, light hop bitter fizzy palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Puszka; aromat słodu, ryżu. Smak szamponu. Na upały daje rade jako zamiennik wody.

The other decent Vietnamese domestic beer. Pours an ugly yellow. Smells slightly citrusy. Taste is domestic beer with a bit of citrus. Refreshing, at the top of the short heap. Had in the can.

Bottle 33cl from asian shop. A clear yellow beer with medium head that goes quickly. Nose is on dusty hops, toasted corn sugar. Aroma is on sugar, light grain, light caramel, corn sugar, light ripped fruits, low body, wet paper, poor.

450 ml (nice size!) bottle. Gave in my hostel in Saigon. Malty smell with that waterish ending of a colf beer before a football game. Golden normal lager color. Kind of malty, but quickly fades in meaningless boring taste. A standard beer with a boring pacacking and image. This is never gona be an international success.

Saigon Lager 4.3% ABV

Delt boks på RBHD treff hos meg november 2015. Klar lys gyllen kropp med hvit film. Sur utvannet honning i nesa. Syrlig våt papp i smaken med litt besk ettersmak.

Shared can at RB/HD at ABE´s 07.11.15. Clear and pale straw colour. Quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of grass. Taste of pale malt, grass and a faint hint o of citrus. Slightly unfresh bitterness. Crisp mouthfeel.

Shared 330 ml can at local tasting, brought from Vietnam by my son Steinar. Pale golden colour, white head. Sweetish aroma, fruit, grass and candy. Light bodied as expected, a little malts and hops, fairly clean flavour (no offensive side flavours), but not a beer to remember. Might still do the trick in the Vietnam heat.
